The Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle

IF Fil Dor is turned over convincingly by Vauban tomorrow can anyone see him heading here instead of the Triumph?

Already rated 141 in Ireland, you'd have to think the UK handicapper will beef that up meaning he would be certain to burden top weight, and that would likely leave him vulnerable to the plethora of juveniles who have been working their way towards this from a while back.
I'd say no...

They could stick Jordan Gainford (3lbs) or Shane Fitzgerald (5lbs) on him though, to claim. I think they had designs on doing it with Quilixios last season, until Quilixios was moved stables.

Of course.
I was just looking for a mark for Iberique du Seuil and couldn't fiund one but his best RPR is 120 compared to Fil D'ors 140, so you have to ask yourself whether he is good enough to give that one around a stone and a half, as an example, when IDS looks to me to have been planning for this since his underwhelming debut...

Think they might as well send him here regardless of mark if he's well beaten by Vauban to be honest. Just not sure what would be a fair price until you see that mark.

Ah yeah, I'm sure Gordon will have 3 or 4 (maybe more) in mind for this race, but was just posing the question really, as it was something that had been touted around last season, but at least this time around it would be for the same owner, so would make a little more sense to split them if they can.

Little glint in his eye (with his sunglasses on:abnormal:) when talking about Gaelic Warrior :devilish:

Now that Gaelic Warrior has a British mark, can they reassess even if he doesn't race before Cheltenham?

They can do whatever they like technically can't they?

If he doesn’t run and there is no collateral form boost (highly unlikely) then I struggle to see how they could reassess any horse.

Assuming this Gaelic Warrior is not already home & hosed as seems to be the feeling, a couple from my early long list run on Wed for 3rd time & thus their mark:

HMS Seahorse at Fairyhouse is so obvious having been beaten by the favs for the Triumph fto & G1 4th on 2nd run. Ideal profile for this assuming he wins easy on Wed.

The other is ex Irish Swinging London at Fakenham fto for Olly Murphy. Could be an interesting contender if getting in down the bottom.

Irish marks updated

Doctor Churchill 127.

Lunar Power 129.

Lunar Power of 129 isn't too bad a mark for the form, albeit Gaelic Warrior is going to cruise in.

That is a lovely weight for lunar power, had my eye on him knowing they couldn’t reverse with Fil Dor.

Although is that just Irish rating? Like to think be couple lbs at least on top, but still.

Pied Piper 144

Fil Dor 141

I guess, at a push, Fil Dor could have a claimer on top and still come here, but would find it highly unlikely now.

Yes - 129 in Ireland. Tax likely to take him up to 133 I'd imagine

Guess he'd get a couple more lb here so around 143 but Saint Sam was 2nd off 138 last year and Fil d'Or has achieved a lot more.

Think he'd go triumph but not completely unthinkable.

Yeah, may happen. Jordan Gainford could take 3lbs off or Shane Fitzgerald could take 5lbs off so I guess there is a small possibility, should the owners wish to split their runners. Of course, they may not want to, which would be fair enough.
