I backed him back on 31st Jan and 5th Feb and COD had been banging on about him for ages before that because I specifically remember thinking to myself it was 'so long' ago that I read about it that it would be too out of the blue to mention :highly_amused:

As much as I want the price to hold I do like some confidence somewhere in the market aswell.

His form if you were to handicap today, would put him in the 140's at least, as he;s finished very near some 150+ horses.

And after reading that shower of shit playing about with ratings in Sporting Life, they can do what the fuck they like.
Going back and changing a rating cos of another horse in another country to avoid headlines is a fucking joke and does nothing but make them look like amatuers.

Like when that cocky dickhead referee clattenberg didn't send any players off (chelsea v spurs) cos it was a crucial match even though the players were karate chopping each other and pulling switchblades out. Poncey twat.

I think personally the reason School boy hours hasn't been mentioned that much is hopefully because they don't want to ruin the horse's mark, plus if they are quiet they probably don't want to give too much away. I mean when you look at it the form lines are looking like the horse is well handicapped for this race. Even though the horse hasn't been seen since December it doesn't worry me too much. if it ran another race and it came say 2nd or 3rd to a decent horse or even beaten Escaria Ten then School Boy hours wouldn't be considered since its mark would of got upped, but because the form lines have now been franked it just seems its the best horse in my opinion for this.

The problem with that thought process is that it's very insular.
This is an antepost cheltenham forum looking for handicap good things.
They can't all be, can they.
Especially if trained by Noel.

The issue I have with this horse and why I've not backed it yet, is the 33-1 tempts me but I know the 14-1 NRNB is the sensible option.
If this is a plot and he remains on his Irish mark then 14-1 is still value.

The danger point is entries day.

Surely a tweet to Mr Meade may get a polite response.
Not on twitter or I would.
If enough of you lot on twitter tweet Meade, I'm sure he'd respond.

I mean if I did use twitter I probably would of given him a tweet but I never use twitter ha. I've now actually put a bet on the horse at 16/1 NRNB because it's just too good to not do at this stage. Lets say the horse was declared to run the odds would either go to 12s or 10s. I actually looked at its runs earlier and whenever its had a break its ran well from a break so there's still a possibility they want the horse fresh and ready for the festival.

I tweeted Noel Meade and one of his staff members a couple of times last year to see if they were willing to divulge any information on Diol Ker's wellbeing but I had no luck

By the way Q. I agree regards the one that slipped everyone's attention in the thread. A mate pointed him out to me a couple of days ago. A blatant non-trier under Junior twice, after not really being picked up after the change in stables. :encouragement:

Really like School Boy Hours really dislike the trainer when it comes to training Cheltenham winners.

He is in the notebook but not on the team sheet.

In recent years, several horses have run well multiple times in the race; Mall Dini, The Young Master, Kilfilum Cross.

Two on my radar for this year are:

Diese Aba - won the race at Sandown that he won last year. Hobbs coming into form for spring. Not sure of mark after the last run but is bound to be similar to that which he ran off last year.

Bob Mahler - wouldn't normally fancy one of Warren's for the fest but this is a race he has done ok in. Best form is usually in March/April and has ran some decent races over C&D. Run in the Edinburgh National was encouraging given he has been in poor form so far.

Kilfilum Cross has been mentioned by a few but would like to see a reasonable run before the festival.

Chances are there is an Irish one 'well-in' that wins the races but both of these could figures in the places, and likely to be bigger prices, so will note if get entries and likely back when extra places come into play.

Horses returning to this race have a good record for f placing too so at nice odds I agree with you on all three of your proposed selections. The British have to win a few races surely!!!

I am with you Rufus, put up Deise the other day and have backed him NRNB. I also am a bit fan of Kilfilum Cross and have him in my team along with forum Fav RWF. Happy with those 3 until the day now when i may add one.
