Queen Mother Champion Chase 2020

But Chacun has disappointed, and A Plus Tard has not been consistent.
And Defi's form with an older Un de Sceaux and Politologue doesn't really match up.
Cilaos Emery is the only one not to have blotted his copy book.

All this takes into account that you think Altior is still close to as good as ever.
I personally think he is/or there's no reason to think not, and the run vs Cyrname reads well if you look at cyrnames form last season on the same course and distance against similar animals Defi has beaten.

And I'm in the Nico bad ride camp for last season's Champion, as there's no way some of that shite should have been that close to him. and this year he should be sent on much earlier.

I also think there's a decent chance Defi still goes Ryanair.
But this might also mean Chacun looks shit hot in Dublin too.

Not sure how true this is but apparently bled at home.

Has anyone got anything on this? Hopefully just a rumour.

Altior ?

Henderson has expanded on this morning's initial statement along the lines of his saddle hurt his absess again so the horse looked like he was sulking, but his bloods and everything were normal.

Yes all correct , you say decent chance still goes to Ryanair , Hobbs has always said will improve back up in trip.
Will Frank Berry agree?
Appears majority think CC ?

Vested interest here as in doubles with Envoi Allen @10/1 and Defi 8’s in Ryanair :encouragement:

He could be third fav after DDS and CPS win their next races.

He could - I'm not sure the 'betting public' would have him go off anything but fav though?

Chacun Pour Soi and Altior both have got to impress at 2 miles next time for me to strongly fancy either of them again. (Although I don't need to and won't back any of them at current prices regardless)

Defi Du Seuil has the form in the book in my opinion, and to an extent so does A Plus Tard relative to the other two.... neither are certain runners though!

I want to back Defi but I'm struggling to decide whether to do so now or wait until the day. If Altior turns up then he'll be favourite and Defi won't be far off 7/2

He is 7/2 NRNB... I don't think he'll be bigger on the day... but I am not sure about how much shorter.

DRF will see to that, probably.

I think DDS will drift on the day, Irish will pile into CPS, casuals will plow into Altior and DDS will be left with no one backing him

I will be, I'll happily be the only one collecting :triumphant:

I'm not sure JP McManus will have a dual festival winner drifting on the day Hfly...

Disappointing reality is all three will probably stay short :concern:

I could see 4/1 on the day as it will be 1/5 a place

But unless you bet like my mum and go e/w when a place loses you money I don’t see you collecting anything

Kev I would usually agree but the JP followers will be Altior followers imo

I think he’s one of the bets of the meeting Defi! So impressive, touching as much wood as I can lay my hands on he’s had a sound prep and he loves Cheltenham!

He's my favourite horse in training, I would prefer him in the Ryanair but I think he's got a great chance

I’ve crumbled in this race. On Chacun at 33s 25s 8s and 5s and was adamant I wouldn’t back anything else. However I’ve had to get Defi into my book following this Altior fiasco. I think there has to be a small chance he doesn’t make it to the festival and if he does I haven’t seen anything to suggest he can beat the other two in this over the last 12+months.

Defi just doesn't appeal to me for this race, no matter what he done in the Tingle Creek.

Definitely between chacun and defi! Think it’ll be the race of festival! Chuck in cilaois emery as well! (Will never get over it being injured for the Arkle last year, still have nightmares about it)

I am still very confident that Defi comes here and wins
For all the millions that JP has pumped into this game he still has not won a champion chase
Don’t think they will pass over a great opportunity to Win a Ryanair

Why not CoD?

If he won a Tingle Creek and we know he's got a great festival record, that seems an odd way to lean?
