Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

It’s not hype it’s the truth AB’s a machine and will prove it in time

It's 'hype' or 'word' until he's proved it though. I'm not denying what he can be, but it's not proven just yet. I have him at fair prices so I am hoping he is as good as we are being led to believe.

If he does something special at the weekend you can wave goodbye to the 5's or 6's that are around, he'll be half that, what with the 'hype' that surrounds him too.

I'm not disagreeing regarding current price on what he has done but we usually get one horse that is shorter on price, based on hype alone, than they should be and initially it was Annamix, now it is Angel's Breath, both horses from yards with some fair history in this race.

FWIW I think Klassical Dream should be the form favourite myself, with Mister Fisher & Aramon in behind, and possibly FD after that, then can look at the likes of Angel's Breath etc.... But 'hype' has it's way over substance in the novice divisions.

Can't disagree with any of that. As I've missed the big odds on him, I feel like I have to take him on at his current price. He could be ridiculously short after tomorrow.

Has huntington on sunday over 2m 4 as an option. The Dovecote? and any additional races that have been arranged.

Doesn't look to be entered in the race on Sunday anymore. As I've been saying I think it's likely he hasn't had his flu jab. Hopefully Nicky will update in his blog later. Certainly not an ideal prep

Sprinter Scare was an absolute machine and still couldn't win a Supreme.

I've a sneaky feeling this race might come too soon for Angels Breath, even if he ends up being the best horse in the race.

Sounds like Angel Breath did need the jab.

Angels Breath*needs to have some more experience so I have to try and find something for him. He was quiet for a couple of days but was much brighter this morning and he’ll be kept moving this weekend. Personally I feel I would rather run him in a very ordinary 2m Novice Hurdle somewhere and forget about Dovecotes and things like that. He can go round in a bunch with a load of novices and gain some valuable education whereas*Mister Fisher*will go straight to Cheltenham.*

He does seem quite far forward in terms of his work?

but you may well be proved right.

I hope not :highly_amused:

Looks like it will be Thursday at Huntington over 2 miles then. Leaves 18 days till the supreme.

He's a ptp winner. Bought as a store.
He's plenty forward.

He's bought another grey Shantou store. Won his point at the weekend.

Slip road.

Expect he'll go to Nicky too next year. Ready to go and full of experiance.
But wouldn't expect him to be as lucky twice.

Ignorance alert, what does bought as a store mean?

He was purchased as a young horse by Dai Walters. . Then he was sent off to be broken in. And trained to go and run in ptps. He'd have done loads of jumping from an early age. Hurdles, fences..... He's won his ptp. He wont be lacking in jumping experiance at all.

The owner has done the same with slip road. One For the future who's learning his trade in ptps before being passed on to his long term trainer. As boopa has mentioned above.

“All of our horses have been re-vaccinated, some last Saturday and the others, which I was hoping to run this weekend, were forced to have theirs done midweek so they are further behind than some of the others which is not ideal at all.“

Is this enough time before the Festival for Hendrsons horses to be back to tip top form?

not if they're all as mardy arsed as he sounds.
