Farid could be one for the Fred Winter imo. Interested to see how he goes tomorrow.
Would you be saying that if he was in different silks though

I'd be putting a line through both runs personally - I won't be backing either tomorrow but to be confident on Fenta is a little misguided IMO.
I backed both any race so as long as one of them wins I won't complain :highly_amused:
Why?
Fenta just ran to the first and fell over?
Is it the beating of French Made?
I thought Farid was more highly rated before either made their debuts....
I wouldn't pay too much attention to the ratings, it was only after one run, after all.
French Made form looks good after her debut, I think Farid was probably all hype, JP seems to have plenty more better than him, at this current time.
Something I do like, and it's more an out there view I take, not definitive, just something I pick up on, but I believe it was Archie (stand to be corrected) that said he see's breeding as they get their mental state from the sire and the engine or lack of, from the mare, Fenta Des Obeaux is by UDS's sire, Denham Red, I have a liking for trainers who have done well with previous sires progeny, especially ones that reach the very top, like I said, it's not definitive and she could turn out to be a pig, but it is something I do keep an eye on. I do like to cover every angle, no matter how stupid that sounds.
French Made form wont amount to much.

Farid a big drifter today. Out to 3/1 and the original outsider of Willie's three is now into favouritism Andalusa. Fred Winter could well be on the agenda for the other two.
The Sir Erec form could take a big boost if this wins well.
Scooby, none of us have a crystal ball. The worth of any form can only be truly known in the fullness of time. But considering these horses will probably only have one more run before the festival, then yes I think it will be a boost, if in the limited formlines we posses come March, a horse that Sir Erec beat goes on to beat two highly rated types well.
We wouldn't back in any novice races if we didn't try to look at the form we have at that time, and interpret it as best we can.
Mullins horses are definitely not firing - top 3 in market today so will chance Pienta
Moving the "Any Race" bets on Fenta Des Obeaux and Farid out of the Triumph section of my spreadsheet and over towards the Fred Winter! Will have to soak up their losses there!
I can't see any of those horses getting into the Triumph, There handicap mark won't be high enough.
