Benie will be so far in front of the other Mares likely to turn up that any penalties she is likely to receive wouldn't stop her.

A few reasons really:

1. As Charlie stated, and you completely ignored in your reply to him, a fair bit has changed, it's certainly not "nothing".

2. 14/1 is for Amateurs I got some 18/1, so what? Means nothing if she still doesn't turn up for the race. The market moves, Concertista running well, are both non-guarantees that BDD runs here.

3. You put up a lot of 'strong fancies', and push them a little too hard sometimes, that I usually just switch off from your ramblings, so much so that I didn't even realise you were the first to put her up I'm not saying I expect you to change or to stop putting your opinion across, but it's my honest answer as to why I probably didn't back her in May when you brought her up.

4. May is very early for a race that has only been implemented for the coming season, Honeysuckle was mentioned by someone on here too, for the race, don't suppose that was you as well? I was happy to use free bets or bonus winnings, but I'm yet to lay a single penny out from the festival bank on the race, with the exception of some multiples once the BDD move happened.

Re point 3. Did my ramblings....bit strong....put you off backing Galvin for the 4 miler ?? Nothing wrong I say putting an opinion across strongly . If I really fancy something then I'm very open in letting others know. I simply can't keep it to myself ! Maybe I should from now on if I come across as OTT .

Horse racing is all about opinions Lobos - I enjoy reading yours. I’m quite similar - if I like something I’m not afraid to stand to my word!

It would be a fitting end for BDD if she can win the Mares Chase & I think she would be a very popular winner for many. If she lines up, she’ll be a short priced fav on the day

Penalties for the other mares' races were based on race class not grade. Listed races are Class 1 and, for the mares novice for instance, attract the same penalty as graded races. The point that no-one can be sure either way until the conditions are released is spot on. There may even be a date before which penalties don't apply.

I love strong opinions Lobos, and I (try really hard to) enjoy yours , but I think COD's point is there can only be 28 winners at Cheltenham, so hundreds of very strong opinions easily fall by the wayside

Thought that was Kevloaf or someone else but fair play if it was you, in fact there may have been a possibility I did credit you with it at the time . It was more when you constantly bang on about it like no one else's opinion matters, for example, Al Boum Photo, when it's plainly obvious he has a favourites chance anyway.

Fair points COD. I agree I do keep on far too much sometimes and should wind my neck in more. The forums full of different characters with all sorts of info and opinions which makes it a top place. I've backed a big percentage of my horses on the back of the stuff on here . Long may it continue.

Who was the 18s COD out of interest?

I took 14s in the summer like Kev and Lobos. Frankly after her Mares Hurdle win back in 2018, I back her every year. My favourite horse in training.

They've taken themselves off of Oddschecker, so you have to manually check them each time.
