Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I'm not sure it's last chance saloon for Goshen, but he'd be a big drifter if he didn't win this. You'd probably give him a second chance over hurdles on trials day I suppose.

I agree Sceau Royal would give a nice line on good to soft. Epatante is officially an11lb better horse than that one with her allowance and probably really more than that, so given Goshen's running style he'd need to be obliterating Sceau Royal to be thought of the Champion Hurdle winner.
If Sceau Royal runs and wins against most of that lot, on a stiffer track like Cheltenham, then she may go even money or odds on.

    • Just a shame not so sleepy ruined the fighting fifth

As sceau royal is not a front runner at all and was left in front

Youd have to have doubts he ran to his best having to make his own running

Makes the potential form comparison in these two races fairly redundant

      • I agree the English challenge the Epatante is currently non existent and the Irish challenge is also very murky. Goshen could put himself right back into the picture and probably 2nd fav behind Epatante with a good win in the International. I can't bring myself to back him though.

He might not be a usual pacesetter, but he's not like abacadabra's either. He's genuine enough.

And the jockey is experienced enough to have gone a suitable pace.

Finally, the other 2 who did finish the Fighting fifth made no ground on sceau royal in the finish, he actually went further away, so he'd certainly not gone overboard up front.
And a sprint finish would/should've suit sceau royal based on his overall profile.

          • I Really liked Song for Someone’s performance at Ascot the last day. Bolted away from Call me Lord over a longer trip which should help him up the hill. 9/2 currently with Hills. I think I’ll add him to a few roll ups.

              • Goshen entered up Saturday in Intl at Cheltenham

see Sky 16s to win and CH.....this is one I will be watching on Eggs feed

All history tells me to ignore 5 year olds.....but Triumph form starting to look pretty good .....and this is the unknown horse for me

Think it will take a really good gelding to beat Epatante and not seen one so far ,.....Barry Geraghty said on a YouTube thing I watched that she has improved over summer he believes

For me only dangers appear to be ....Goshen, Honeysuckle ( don’t think would be good enough) and maybe Saldier if came back and had improved

Will def back Goshen in win Sat/CH market....but still believe Epatante will get double and might win 2022 too

                • What is all this talk of the triumph being decent all of a sudden , the race itself just shows a few under performed on the day and it wasn't a particular good race bar Goshen. Some have shown v.good efforts since and make a few of the juveniles to be half decent like plenty thought around xmas last year(AMK/Aspire) mainly. I do hope Goshen provides an injection of quality this side of the the Irish sea to make things a bit spicier!

Based on that line through Call Me Lord at the prices Song for Someone looks a good bet in this

                    But...

Just a word of warning on Song For Someone. Tom Symonds said he would need soft ground to run. It's currently Good to soft with no serious rain forecast.

                            • ....if anybody is interested in Goshen, SkyBet have the International/CH double listed twice @ 16-1 & 20-1 (14-1 Hills).

                              • It might be better to back him on Saturday now at 5/2 and reinvest if you still wanted him for March.
