Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I've managed to convince myself Metier has no chance of winning.... he's a Tolworth winner (terrible angle that a horse can't win), who is going on potentially to the Betfair (again, not a great angle or logical reason a horse "can't win", other than they are generally not good enough as a 'trend'!

Then it's Third Time lucki who was well held in the bumper, and although he's improved for obstacles, I'd bet my last dollar than Appreciate It has improved just as much, at least!
Mr Coldstone Fancied him for the county but they aren’t going to get 2 more runs into him before Cheltenham. He will probably end up in the Supreme. I like him!

      Yeah why not.
I jumped on the Micro Manage bandwagon a few weeks ago, such a highly rated flat horse could easily improve enormously for his NH debut and become a runner here...

Haha - I 100% am joking, which would be much more obvious if you could see how much I was laughing. Which you can't. Cos it's written.

Nap - Envoi Allen - combination of being the most exciting, most rock solid, weakest opposition and fairest price of the shorties?

Lay - Al Boum Photo - 3x Gold Cup winners are: Arkle, Golden Miller, Best Mate and Cottage Rake. At 3/1, given the list of absolutely incredible horses that haven't done it, I don't even want him to do it (and I backed him at 33/1 for the first one )

Each Way - Elimay - there are quite simply not 3 mares, currently chasing, better than her.

Geordieboy83 - what you laying BDD in?

Istabraq - Lay on Appreciate It? Who do you think will beat him?

ComplyOrDie - Haha, absolutely right. Shittest trend/stat going.... no sense to it.
There is normally more arguments about the lay selections

Micro Manage runs again soon doesn't he.... might be worth a NRNB play again.

I ran the 'stats' on the race he ran on debut, literally none of his runners that did NOT win that race have gone on to the Supreme, but I didn't check if any of them tried to redeem themselves afterwards.

People often dismiss horses that are beaten along the way..... which I suppose makes sense, and I have with MM, but I'll check his NRNB price prior to his next run as that really is a bet to nothing.... if he doesn't win he surely has little chance of turning up (bar falling at the last 10L clear etc, which would be 'alright' still.

I better join these other forums..... I love arguing and would be good to do it away from here where I have to reign myself in....

Which are the best ones (away from here?)

I've only ever lurked on Betfair (don't anymore) and The Racing Forum, which seems pretty good.... Not606 too but hardly any ante post focus there.

I recall seeing charlie post in there...

and a guy I see on twitter who seems to know his stuff....

I heard a lot of good things about there to be fair, and nothing negative.

Not that I'm hoping anyone leaves us of course - open market though!

I think there are quite few dual posters. FF91 is one, think Ryan is another. TRF is good. Their 'big race discussion' thread is probably better than here for discussing specific big races outside of Cheltenham, but in terms of Cheltenham its apples and oranges - world's apart. The Fat Jockey Forum and Cheltenham is a bit like Vegas, you can always find action! July, 2am, random weekdays! TRF has far fewer Cheltenham posters and I'd say the standard on here is generally much higher.

                              Daily selections

N - Shishkin (Rock solid jumper, C&D winner)
L - Epatante (Hasn’t looked the mare of last year but the division have all been beating themselves)
EW - Minella Melody (ran well behind concertista and expecting honey to go CH and a few years too late for BDD)

N - Monkfish (Beat rivals in division already, Solid jumper)
L - Altior (too old, everyone always waits for the “kick” and I don’t think he is quick enough for a 2M anymore)
EW - PTKO (Mares allowance, still progressing and has C&D form)

N - Envoi (11/11, cheltenham form, jumps well and likely a small field to avoid any issues)
L - Paisley Park (had some tough battles so far, running on heavy a few times, big field and other jockeys know what to expect)
EW - Fury Road (lighter campaign so far, line through Christmas with GE yard not firing, still could be progressing)

N - Dame De Compagnie (jumped well on debut, open race and no penalty to carry)
L - Zanahiyr (all improve at different rates especially being a juvenile and haven’t been wow by performances)
EW - Ashdale Bob (if he didn’t fail LTO then would be a lot shorter in the market, ran well so far this season)
