Prestbury Novices Hurdle 2012

The Prestbury Novices Hurdle is a Grade 2 race run on the Saturday of the Cheltenham November meeting.

It is restricted to three year old hurdlers and therefore will be contested by horses hoping to go on to either the Triumph or Fred Winter Hurdles in March. Katchit was the last horse to win this race and go on to win at the festival.  Al Eile – a three time Aintree Hurdle winner – was another notable victor back in 2003.

Paul Nicholls and Ruby Walsh have a good record in this race winning the 2011 renewal on Hinterland and three of the last ten.
