World Hurdle Thread 2015

Any news on Hendersons trio ? Not much support on Betfair which probably tells the story.

Zarkandar is a dog.

Nor me. One of my favourites this horse. Has won four grade ones and four grade twos over hurdles and amassed nearly £800k in prize money. How many other "dogs" entered in the world hurdle have achieved as much?
 
Zarkandar has finished 2nd and traded in running at 1.01, 1.1, 1.55 and 1.45 since Nov 2013. That is houndish form.

It's hard not to like zarkandar but for one so good he perhaps doesn't win enough, the long walk being a prime example
 
Sam Twiston-Davies has stated in his RP column that he will ride Saphir Du Rheu and not Zarkandar in the World Hurdle.

Has Ruby a ride in it for Mullins ?

An in running lay of Zarkandar might be in order if you back him.

I know he will be on Monksland but would love to see Paul Carberry get the call for Zarkandar :)

I think AP would be a good call for Zarkandar, someone willing to drive him for the last mile

Can't see AFC running so if MoT doesn't make it would be an option. Biggest race he hasn't won.

This race could be won by a stayer that comes off the bridle early. I think there will be a few jockeys taking their chances and going for it being an open race with so many chances. Both this and the Gold Cup could be the best championship races for spectators.

Yep 1st and 2nd in grade ones this season a real mutt. I'd wager two of those prices you mention there are races involving Annie Power and The New One. I'm sure you would expect him to see those donkeys off with a minimum of fuss.

"I know people say he hasn't got the best course record round Cheltenham, but you can't crab his form the last time when he was wrong at the weights with Saphir De Rheu and he's only gone down by a neck. That's a very good race and good form.

"He's more like a fourth or fifth favourite and that's how I'll be going there with that sort of confidence in him."

25/1 is a massive price. This fella has been up there with the 2 favourites in this race and 4x the price.
 
Old Vic my luck ante post this year. Another one bites the dust knew i should of waited till nrmb came out.

I keep saying that every year but hard to do if you think something is value. Seem to be a few with decent Faugheen and UDS slips and you have Petite P.
