Weekend Racing

At Cheltenham today, and in avoiding the short-priced fav races, I have backed.

Cepage - 2nd to Frodon last year, soft ground, pity about the 8lb rise when runner-up LTO, but not a great renewal.

Igor - I really liked his Ascot performance LTO, and trainer keen to step up in trip. 11/2 looks fair (when only 20/1 for Festival)

Elixir De Nutz - Soft ground, double Cheltenham novice winner, took 9/1, the biggest danger is Call Me Lord.

We could be having similar days HFox.

Cheltenham
1.55 Cepage 11/2 ew
2.30 Champagne Well 7/2 ew
3.05 Elizir de Nutz 9/1 ew
3.40 Dame de Compagnie 9/4

Donny
2.10 Sam Spinner 6/4
2.45 Navajo Pass 9/2 ew
3/20 Cloth Cap 10/11

Good luck all

Little bit of after timing here but I'm halfway through a yankee:

Chantry House 4/5 - won
Easyland 5/1 - won
Windsor Avenue 6/4 - 2.10 Doncaster
Dame Du Compagnie 10/3 - 3.40 Cheltenham

Out all day today but doesn't look like many festival clues will be on show but good luck all.

Added Elixir De Nutz - 4 places at 13/2

I'm half tempted by Pentland Hills now at his price - but did hear a good case that the Call Me Lord right handed stuff might be a myth - so just a small bet on the above.

Also Valtor at 8/1 - 2.30 Chelt just seems a little bit big given all his experience. Don't think he'll end up the best of these but that's a big price int it? 17/2 with a 'Uniboost' :highly_amused:

Sly 5 places in a 13 runner race so going to have 2 darts in the 13:55

Robin Des Foret 16/1
Secret Investor 8/1 (hopefully drifts)

Ground against Secret Investor and they both have to overcome the stat I heard about no horse winning this without running at Cheltenham before since 1991 or something like that....

Good Man pat is probably the most sensible bet but a bit boring.

Remember a good debate on here last year about the right handed thing with this horse.
I was on the bullshit side in the main.
So we'll see today.
Be funny if he turns around at the start and sets off in the other direction.

12 10 ew RIKOBOY 14/1

His experience in France will give him an edge and he is likely to outrun his price and go close for the Dr.

The main bet of the day 'The Nico Double'.

3 05 Pentland Hills 11/4
12 45 Mister Fisher 11/4

ew double

Very interested in his run today, could be an AB outsider aswell?

Bullshit it is.

I did those two as well , happy enough with robin des foret placing . didn't know about the ground with S.I or the stat !!

Call Me Lord takes the International tomorrow. Slight gamble that he'll take to a left handed track, but had 7-10lbs in hand by my calculation to play around with

Dame De Compagnie in the last, good run in the goodwood, steps up in trip and back with her own sex

:very_drunk: two favs, but I'll take them. Nice little double

12 25 Haydock

win COOLE WELL@15.0

Snowden is in form and has an 80% strike rate over the Haydock fences with 4 winners from 5 runners in thr last 5 years.
COOLE WELL has plenty to find with the 2 principals but ran a decent chase debut 1st run of the season and it looks even better as he came back with a wound to his hind leg. Will improve greatly here.
Haydock and a small field will suit the front runner and he proved he handles heavy last time.
Snowden wouldnt be sending him here if he didnt think he had a good chance.

Hendersons PRECIOUS CARGO is making his chase debut and has been weak in the market. He may need the experience and run today.

MOONLIGHTER has failed to complete in 2 of last 4 runs, falling over hurdles and unseating on chase debut, he also made mistakes last time. Haydock is a tough jumping test.

COOLE WELL looks a natural jumper and could get them stretched out here especially if mistakes are made in behind.

Im looking to lay my stake back at 6.0 in running for a free bet and expect to get matched here.

L’ami Serge would be infuriating if it wasn’t so expected

You must be Happy with Second today B.o.F,

Not got loads of interest in Saturday's cards. Posted the ante post bit in my thread...but tomorrow so far I've just backed

Itchy Feet and Ferny Hollow in a pretty boring double.

....and got Presenting Percy ante post at a secret price :devilish:
