Triumph Hurdle 2020

What do you make of the 3yo race at 1307 - Compiegne today Scooby? Garfield running 7/1 at minute?

Very strong race, that's the strongest juvenile race all season in france. If I could have a free bet, I'd couple falstaff and garfield both EW at 7s.
There could be a superstar in there somewhere though.

Collateral form would have Garfield beat by Chaptal today, but obviously being unbeaten he could improve plenty further yet.

Chaptal & Falstaff the two that interest me at the minute.

Chaptal done that nicely, staying really well to the line, beating Garfield in the process!

Well Done COD, I just had Garfield to place so happy :)

Thanks Paz, nice one on your winning bet too :)

It means more funds to waste on the festival now :highly_amused:

Harold Kirk bought a horse called Gamin Original in May, two nice runs finishing 2nd in one and then 1st in its last before going to the sales, no mention of it on here that I can see? Possibly injured? Possibly put away for next season like Jon Snow was? Scooby or anyone have anymore information

Monte Cristo being aimed at chelt on the 14th if hes ready although it sounds like that might be a bit rushed for that date

Right thread this time hopefully. Anybody else impressed with Aspire Tower today at Punchestown?

Yes, it ran out a impressive winner and ran three seconds quicker than the next heat race 2 for older horses both heats trained by De Bromhead.
Considering it pulled hard early it ran like a train to the line, and the markets shaved it down but the only thing on the minus side was it ran as a two year old and has had plenty of racing on the flat as did Pentland Hills but this background in the Triumph has not been the normal trend of late but if De Bromhead rates him so who are we.

Id be interested to know what JP makes of that one.

Has Joseph told him to buy the wrong juvenile, or is the Fred Winter the plan.

would have finished upsides give or take without the penalty? Cerberus the much more fluent one of the two aswell.

Probably reading too much into it CCM?

Agreed darlo. But something doesn't sit right with me there. Joseph recommends on of his juveniles to JP for big money then sends out another runner to beat him first time.

Maybe he came to Joseph asking to purchase? Who knows really..

It's almost like even the trainers can't be certain who's going to run fastest and improve the most ?????
Imagine that ????
I thought they'd know every time myself, that's why they're still working from 4am every day, 7 days a week.

Lot of sarcasm there CCM.
For a sunday morning.

The betting suggested they knew which one to back today though q.

Lets see. I might be wrong, but got my own view on it today.
