Triumph Hurdle 2019

Cashed out 1 pt e/w 40/1 Fakir D'oudaries (Without NRNB) for 8.5 pts

Put it back on (8.5 pts) at 5/1 NRNB - not expecting him to run here but if anything happened to Sir Erec... I'd be annoyed if I hadn't re-backed.

As it stands, must be odds on to go Supreme.

I say so Kev JP didn’t buy him to go against SE

I’m holding one of those Kev..... want to wait as long as possible in case sir eric catches his nuts on a hurdle schooling!

Yeah, I have been holding on.... but decided to just cash it all and re-invest NRNB.

I'd be frustrated at losing that 6.5 pts profit when I 'knew all along' that the plan wasn't even to run here...

and currently if Sir Erec does get injured, I'm still on the likely short priced fav at 5/1?

You lose quite a bit from the cashout tho so best to wait as long as possible I think

Harry Derham on the FFP special released tonight -
"Never mind Quel Destin lets talk about Pic D'Orhy. We worked them the other day and Pic beat him 20 lengths."
Save him for Aintree Blake says!
Harry joking with the lads. They are well aware of the hype lol!

Quel Destin in great form (Blake says on a line through Adjali Sir Erec could cover 2 mares mid race and still beat Quel Destin - the lads are in good form!)

Pic D'Orhy. Again plans ground dependent. If its on the slower side he will run. Blake jumps in take your time send him to Market Rasen instead.
Very nice horse Derham says. Very relaxed horse who does everything right. "The way he went around Wincanton the other day it was like his arse was on fire."

Haha cracking, will listen to that now rather than the commute!

I'm loving the vibe Harry puts out on Pic D'Orhy. A lot of what's said re Pic D'Orhy is admittedly tongue in cheek with Kevin Blake, but the way he's willing to joke about it and not concede to dodging Sir Erec suggests to me they think he is a weapon.

Emmet 'In terms of Quel Destin from a form perspective...'
Harry 'Talk about Pic for f*cks sake'
:highly_amused:

I had a good chat to Harry at the Ditcheat he was pretty adamant that Pic D only runs if its actually soft, Paul repeated that a few times. Paul all weekend looked like he was spoiling for a fight, hes certainly up for the festival more than recent years and I do wonder if the temptation will be too good to resist, he made no secret of how highly he rates Pic d, they are very excited by him.

As mentioned before using Adjali's run at Chelt is pretty lazy stuff, connections think hes the best of their juveniles still better than Fusil Raffles although he obviously needs to prove it on the track.

Layers of Fakir D’oudaries seem to have gone away in the last few days. Was available as big as 30.0 and now only 12.5 - I wouldn’t be surprised to see him run here as well as Sir Erec. If I owned them i’d come here with a two pronged attack

I would be surprised if he ran here now JP owns him.

He has nothing in the Supreme and the short proceed fav here.

If it was up to Joseph I would expect him to go here though

Will be interesting to see how much Paul digs in on Pic D’orhy cause the panel will no doubt tip Sir Erec

Not word for word but Nicholls on Pic d'Orhy at the BF preview: "He's an interesting horse won 3 times in Auteuil. Absolutely gorgeous horse, schooled well at Wincanton. If it keeps on raining I think he'll run.

Said HD will have a difficult decision. I thought that was telling. I was happy with what I heard

Run the bastard! Would be my biggest winner of the festival!! And if there’s soft in the description and a good pace to the race, I think he will win. SE wants a canter and a sprint. The last race was deceiving.

As one of the other lads started talking over Nichols at the end of his chat on Pic, Nichols finished by shouting down the mic ‘he’s a proper horse’

I cashed my sir erec bet that was antepost and put it all back on NRNB.
I still have Pic D'ohry at 22-1 and would win similar amount if either wins.
I personally don't think Nicholls will run Pic D'ohry if Sir Erec is fit.
There would be no need to.
I'd be surprised anyway.
I'd love it to run as it'll make for a more interesting race and it'll please a few people on here, even the irritating ones (all people I've never met, but still wish them happiness)

Adjali did another very good piece of work this morning lads FWIW.
