Triumph Hurdle 2019

Paul Nicholls on Twitter has confirmed Pic D'Orhy will go straight to the Triumph IF ready in time. No pre festival run for him.

Wouldn't be possible to have a run.. and also the old trainers tale of every horse will give there all on decent ground on there 1st try. Dosent want to run him on it beforehand.

he'll go for a racecourse gallop at wincanton should he be ready. There's a few pencilled in for the end of the month.

His words not mine. Just relaying. Check yourself.

Was edited prior to my comment so the above now doesn't apply.

4 weeks 5 days if someone told me I had a 2 mile race to be fit for in that time I’d be ready and I’ve only two legs :highly_amused:

....mmm, even if you’d just been gelded.

Thought Sir Erec was pretty good yesterday, even if he was given the run of the race.

The Irish do seem to have a very strong hand here.

I've still got an Adjali slip left somewhere though.... :triumphant:

Odds on doesn’t make it to Festival
2 weeks for healing , limited exercise etc etc
Mates a vet and he says v doubtful but ...

He should be cantering now if there were no complications.

Could they not of waited til the summer to give me the chop

Fakir Doudairies has according to a friend been bought by JP so there must be some doubt about him running here.

Id rather he did go supreme as a non backer of him for this race. He's the best horse thats ran as a juvenile. But he's no chance in the supreme. He beat a mullins a horse narrowly in a maiden hurdle. He hasn't just come on 20 pounds + because he just won a triumph hurdle trial.

I can't see any way they'll send him for the supreme. But if they did.. sir erec is far more beatable than him and it opens up an extra place.

Are we saying Pic D;ohry has been gelded recently ?
O'brien said they left sir erec alone as they wouldn't have got him ready for cheltenham,
but i suppose PD has had enough hurdle runs already so it's just how sore he is and his mood :grumpy:

Sir Erec is far more beatable than Fakir?

deffinately imo. What's that form worth yesterday. A slow run race and allowed to dictate. Who was the highest rated horse in that field?

There's nothing whats so ever to say that what was behind him is as good as adjali let alone fakir

ratings and allowances would say different, and by some way.
Fakir's Irish rating is 146.
British Handicapper would add a few
then there's the 8lb allowance.

So to say no chance is bold.
And you can't see any way they send him, don't make sense does it ?
