t would be a huge shame if this forum goes the way of some of the others out there. Used to read in on the likes of Betfair / Racing Forum etc and plenty used to get very bitchy and got for tat and it was one thing that set FJ apart...
Think it's pretty clear that Scooby has been pretty transparent throughout. Adjali was a heavy fancy for a long time. On all known form prior he had the clear beating of QD but lost over Christmas. He made it clear no real excuses so didn't lead anyone on after that. Then now Pic D'orhy has come over from France, something not even considered at the start of the season that's his 'one. And also clearly stated Adjali could lose today and highlighted the winner.
Personally think in this particular case Scoobys insight has been brilliant, for myself at least as French form isn't something I have ever focused on. It's just been touched on and It does appear to be a bit of a trend right now so perhaps something I'll concentrate on more going forward. But with limited time to cover all the English racing, then Irish I'll be hard pressed to fit anymore in! The Triumph, Fred Winter and Bumper were 3 races I was happy to leave along this year. But felt it would be pretty foolish to not take into account what Scooby was highlighting when the bookmakers have clearly been and still are slow to react or ignorant to the French form. It was and is imo an angle we should all at the very least look into. Add in the likes of Jackie, CoD and others who add in with skme French form - its invaluable on a forum like this imo. Of course it may not carry though as the season progresses, they are 3 and 4 year olds so the level of improvements can be considerable from race to race. So for that reason I was happy to back the following in this race:
Adjali
Fret D'estruval
Coko Beach
Pic D'orhy
All bar Coko Beach were put on following Scooby highlighting and putting them forward. That's not to say I'll ever follow him blind and they backed as he backed them but he highlighted enough of a reason for me to take a bet.
I agree I think he does have some level of persuasion on the forum. But I think it's fair to say that's been built up now from being a decent judge and who always backs up his bets and puts them down beforehand For all to see. It's then up to myself or anyone else to take that on and decide what we do with it.
Isn't that exactly what we want on here?
He's no messiah but no one is. The guy still doubts Presenting Percy so that says it all
Adjali lost, move on right? I had him down for 100pt win. Cashed out any money I put on. Still have a 50pt return on a free bet on the slim chance he wins. Very unlikely now but you never know and most on here appear to have a b365 account so hopefully have been able to do the same
