Triumph Hurdle 2018

Kev,
They'd shorten all of them if that was the case

Good point!

He's best priced 8s now. According to oddchecker he hasn't been 10s since Boxing Day but that has been wrong as was pointed out elsewhere :highly_amused:

On that horse in particular, one I missed the original big prices and only have a small bit at 10s. Would not be a good result for me at the moment. (Albeit, not a bad one either)

Got quite a bit of wiggle room because of the collapses in Apple's Shakira from 25s and We Have A Dream at 33s.

tasty prices indeed. should make the frame:devilish:

I don’t understand how Style De Garde is still 33/1 for this race with Paddys. Top form over the channel, good performance first up beating a nice horse in Doctor Bartolo with ease. Has an entry on Friday in a decent looking race and if he wins as I expect him to then will be half that price at least

Robante.....shhhh, keep it quiet:very_drunk::encouragement:

Haha I’m topping up. I had a formline through Nube Negra which made me question Apples Shakira a little. I can’t find anything either side of the channel to question Style De Garde’s form, convinced he’s simply a better horse than We Have A Dream, 33’s seems mad

On the racing post podcast, the two experts, haven't got a thing to say about Act Of Valour... Maddy seemed to know him, but that is shocking... they get PAID to talk about racing, or write about it. I get annoyed thinking about it!

Fat Jockey podcast would be much better :devilish:

I’d think Nicholls might be plotting to get Act of Valour a mark for the Fred Winter nowadays, would seem a logical move

25/1 NRNB
40/1 if you feel brave with SJ....

no thread for Fred Winter yet....

I did have that in mind 40s very tempting but poss injury as that surely wasn't his running. Will have a very lenient mark now anyway on home work. 25s nrnb is good . But unfortunately for myself I'm not scanning that market as I can't get it

Couldn't agree more again Rob.... Seem to be saying that a lot lately!

I thought it was telling that NJH was quick to mention him in his interview after WHAD won at the weekend... I thought it seemed obvious AS, WHAD and StG are his three best juveniles, so the current prices seem well out.

Just the conundrum of who might be moved elsewhere... assume two of those three may take their chance in the triumph...

Style de Garde 8/11 v Gumball 13/8 tomorrow in the 3pm at Huntingdon..
Good test to see how good SdG is

Does anyone know how much JP paid for Appla Shakira?

Doesn't say in One Jump ahead but didn't ricci say "on the line" he was the under bidder and it was a lot?

If Gumball gets close.... or wins, Apple's Shakira to shorten?

You would think so Kev. Quite fancy Gumball today.

They're going to find life extremely tough with gumball of 144.. id be assuming that should be reassessed after today but there not one for dropping them massively.
How do they assess style de garde today gumball wasn't fluent at all on heavy when went off like a mad man and thumped by Apple's shakira who went on the golden high way up the rail And put her very short.
Style de garde thumps him fair and square but hes not in the colours of jp. What price do they put him?
