this week's entries

Looks like Tekao declared on Sunday. Jazzy Matty is a reserve. New Year Honours also declared.

Grangeclare West declared over 2m4 with Kudasheva and My Trump Card also declared.

American Mike Vs Three Card Brag in the Monksfield. Affordale Fury has a declaration as well who has been mentioned a lot on here.

Saint Roi Vs Fil DOr in the beginners chase.

Decent looking mares bumper as well.

Really looking forward to seeing Affordable Fury again. Might put Mike’s jumping under some pressure.

That’s all the Irish early Xmas entries up now.

Quick glance all WPM horses entered where we would expect. Only thing I noticed was Dysart Dynamo not entered at Limerick, only has the 2m entry.

And no 2m entry for James Du Berlais.

Did people think he would be given a 2m campaign ?
Last seen chasing home Klassical Dream over 3m, did we really expect a drop back to the minimum trip ?
I’m with him for the BANC but was considering a small cover for the Turners but have to say I’ve never considered covering the Arkle.
Could easily still be wrong though….

I don't think many (if any) of us did. But Mullins implied that the Arkle was an option in his stable tour, which is why I thought it notable that there isn't a 2-mile entry.

SPORTING LIFE

James du Berlais had a little setback last season but he's back and doing well. We know he jumps very well and he is another horse who could be anything over fences, which is what he was bought for. He's a really exciting prospect over fences. I think he jumps well enough to go down the Sporting Life Arkle route, but he has plenty of stamina in his pedigree and he could be one for the Turners. He has the ability to be anything. He settles well and has plenty of stamina in the pedigree so we'll let him decide over the course of the season.

OK thanks for that, I hadn’t seen that quote (thankfully !)…

All of his best form in France was over intermediate trips. Willie seemed to be unsure what his trip was when he first arrived as he went from Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham to Champion Stayers at Punchestown. I’m not sure he’s a 3 mile chaser myself but I’m very interested at 2 and a half.

No El Fab or Dysart Dynamo Thursday, Tellmesomethinggirl is declared though.

No Gaelic Warrior but Quais De Paris is declared for one of the maiden hurdles.

QDP is third reserve

Foxy Girl confirmed for the mares maiden, too. I know some are interested in seeing her out.

Alos, from what I can see, QDP is a reserve and Townend is jocked up on I Am Rocco in the same race. That seems odd? Or am I missing something here?

FV again possible runner this Saturday? Fairyhouse

Those Fairyhouse entries have numerous interesting runners. Quite a few from the P2P/French scenes making their debut.

Better Days Ahead entered in 2 Flat Races at Fairyhouse this weekend. Perhaps hurdling on hold ?

Along with Fact to File. I thought he might go straight over hurdles.

I was thinking they’d skip bumpers too. If he does stay in bumpers then it won’t change my opinion of him being a festival candidate. I think he could be very useful even without obstacles. He was my top pointer to follow this season.
