I’m useless at Golf betting but do enjoy watching the Majors. I’ll be betting on a Xander Schauffle (40/1) and Gary Woodland (66/1) each way but not betting with any confidence. Sky Bet are paying 10 places at 1/5 of the odds.

Not great value at the top of the market especially as most bookies pay out 1/5 on golf competitions hence while I’m backing a few outsiders. Spleith & Day would be the 2 I might back at the top of the market because of their experience of the course. I would like to Rory or Tommy win it though

I completely disagree, there’s fantastic value at the top of the market. It’s usually a tournament that the better players do well in and your getting 10 places each way

I would agree if it was 1/4 but 1/5 leaves you with very little profit unless it’s in the 20’s like Casey, Day etc

Not usually into backing favs but all over Mcilroy, DJ and Justin Thomas for this. As FTM mentions normally a tournament that the top ranked players perform in and where current form is important and all 3 tick the right boxes.

I’d argue that DJ at 10s (10 places) and JT at 18s (8 places) and 16s (10 places) is a bit of value. It’s Rory that probably isn’t much value, but can’t leave him unbacked

Rory finished in the top 10 in the last 5 Masters, I think I read.

Jonny Rahm and Justin Rose are my two plays so far but I'm struggling to leave Rory unbacked at the moment.

Defending The Masters has, historically, been a serious challenge - particularly for those attempting to do so for the very first time. Still, it shouldn't be nearly as hard as Garcia made it look 12 months ago, when he carded a 13 at the 15th. Yes, he required 13 shots to get his ball in the hole, the very same hole at which his winning Masters bid had been fully ignited in 2017. Garcia responded manfully with a birdie at the next but rounds of 81-78 still leave him with demons to banish. It was ever thus. Let's just hope he doesn't get himself expelled for defecating in Rae's Creek or ripping the heart out of an azalea because it didn't concede the putt, the absolute maniac.
