The Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle

Anyone backed iberique du seuil for this? I see he's entered at kempton on sat presumably just to see how the British hcapper rates him as can't see him actually running after running yesterday.

Backed @25s any race with WH after going tits up for the Triumph :biggrin-new:

Going to put forward Brazil for this race. 25/1 with Bet365, the now standout price, was available at 33's for a short while with Unibet, but they've since clipped him to 25's and now 20's.

If you haven't already, I'd suggest watching the replays of his two runs to date, more so his latest run at Leopardstown, behind a horse in the same colours, Icare Allen. If you think Champion Green is a plot job then this guy has to be in that bracket aswell, IMO. Luckily for him he's managed to go under the radar a little bit more, because he got hampered in both races he has run in, but he showed a fair turn of foot in his last run to make up lost ground, to only get beat 7 3/4 lengths.

Brazil is by Galileo, who likely needs no introduction, but just in case, Galileo has sired 3 festival winners, including 2008 Triumph Hurdle winner, Celestial Halo, so he can produce a fair juvenile. His dam, Dialafara, has produced some very good flat horses, including the high class St. Leger & Irish Derby winner, Capri. Brazil himself was given a flat rating of 85 before switching codes.

His latest performance was improvement from his first run and I'm expecting him to go close next time out, he's entered up on Monday, alongside Champion Green and a few others that look interesting, so will be keeping a close eye on them all.

…..first race at Punchestown of interest today with Champion Green a general 10-1 fav for this taking on others that have also been highlighted.

…..Sky have win today & Boodles;

Champion Green @ 20-1
Vero Verto @ 50-1

Brazil doing JP McManus things, and staying on much too late :highly_amused: Hopefully gets a mark that gets him into the race, otherwise may need to find another race for him, before the festival. The stiffer the track the better, ideally.

Have been keeping an eye on Brazil his last few runs, has definitely got the ability over hurdles but just seems to be lazy midway through his races then stays on. Noticed his win on the flat came with first time blinkers, so wouldn’t mind seeing them try something similar maybe in the boodles

wasn't sure if the tack had broken or the saddle slipped , hope its nothing more than that, he was pulling like a train in there , maybe the bit slipped , find out soon enough

RP says saddle slipped on Champion Green. Probably have to run again to come here won't he.

Champion Green is an absolute maniac - would need to settle a lot better to win a Boodles, you'd imagine...

HMS Seahorse ran credibly again today, given his form behind Pied Piper/Vauban and now another nice Elliott horse, he is worth a punt at 20/1 with 365.

He was a walloped 15L behind them though... not like he's ran on sneakily and gotten close?

Surprised if you can't better that 20/1, 4 places, in the next 8 weeks with at least some concessions.

Love Paul Nolan as well, but it doesn't scream like a horse that'll be a steamer in the ante post markets to me.

Perhaps not, but Nolan will know exactly where his stand against Elliott's and if there is any money for it I'd be taking notice.

Any money for it and I'm sure FJ will alert us :satellite:

It was 40's before the run at the weekend and cut to 20's straight after.
I was annoyed as I had it pencilled in for a big price NRNB or exchange bet.
someone couldn't wait.

Yeah that's fair enough. 40s now I'd have done more of a check... but I don't think 20s is worth looking in to at this stage.
