The Caspian Caviar Gold Cup Cheltenham Sat Dec 12th 2020

I think Coole Cody could go well against, especially on the new course - stays well

I like backing horses that have previously ran in the PPGC that hadn’t had a run this season - “they’ll come on from the run”

Saint Sonnet falls into that category and same a similar profile to Frodon.... appeared to be running well but blew up, may have needed it but could be rubbish

Need to see how much CC went up for that win first, but I will definitely have him backed for that with a point on SS

There's no way Coole Cody will a easy lead here, which makes him a good bet in place
He looks one paced, with the easy lead and the going he was able to hold the lead when they came down the hill and then power away up it to take the win

I think he'll be there or abouts, have backed him AP and will back him in play at bigger as I expect him to lose the lead at some point and look as though he's struggling

Having watched the PP again, Al Dancer was travel so well... probably too well. He needed to get his head in front of Coole Cody 4 out, ended up slipping 3-4 lenghts back as they hit the bottom of the hill and then was done for

I dont think I fancy any of the others, Spiritofthegames appears to be the unlucky loser

Twice now I've seen Saint Sonnet bomb out after appearing to travel ok. He looks like a 2 mile handicap and one to follow when they run him in a proper race, ideally over better ground - 12 to 14 mm expected going into this weekend

FYI heavy rain here in Cheltenham at the moment, rain tomorrow and Saturday.

Cepage and Windsor Avenue for me. Really like them both in this.

Yeah I'm expecting a big run from Cepage

He was very unlucky to bump into riders onthe storm on reappearance last year who was absolutely chucked in

Yeh and he ran a great race in the Ultima too. I was getting excited coming down the hill but he just didn't stay that day. This will be his ideal trip.

I can't have Master Tommytucker. I'd really worry about his jumping in a handicap like this.

Yes he has dominated small fields

I'd worry about his jumping in a big field when he cant go his own pace

think he should've run today in the Peterborough

Do no like Master Tommytucker at all for this. Clan couldnt win this and IMO he was a much better horse
Looks like you'll need a right old stayer for this on giving how they are finishing today

Code Coody is my main bet, but will get one more on side for tomorrow once I've review the card tonight

Really liked how Al Dancer travelled through the PPGC last time and think he will reverse form with Coole Cody with the weight pull. Also can't see Coole Cody getting a similar lead to last time, as much as I enjoyed it!

Placed horses from the PPGC have a really good record here so he'll do for me.

I’m in the Al Dancer camp too. I’m convinced he’ll be a G1 horse over the intermediate trip, so if I’m right he wins this.

I've been a big fan of AD but I'm starting to think he's a bit soft and doesn't want to win his races.

I'll be sick if he wins tomorrow s it's the first time I haven't backed him for two seasons:hopelessness::dejection:
