Supreme Novices 2018

I suppose there are two ways of looking at this. I totally agree that Early Doors could have finished a lot closer, which made me have a saver on him at 33/1. The price differential between him and MK just seems wrong to my eyes.

But rather than suggest MK is too short (I personally think his odds are pretty generous considering what he has achieved, and the respective price of other novices), its more a case that ED is well over priced. Take MK out of the race and he has annihilated the rest.

Outside of these two, Reel Steel is the only one other one to interest me so far.

I agree he should be head of the market on what hes done, but what price do you think he will be on the day or NRNB weeks before. Hes 7-1 right now, as low as 5s, i guess what im trying to say is i dont think there will be too much difference between his price now and that of on the day or weeks before, Especially when Willie & Hendersons challengers become more clearer.

Thanks for the reply archie. Quite a big difference though isnt it? Always thought the Deloitte over 2m2f on soft ground was a perfect Neptune prep. Think the extra 4f makes quite a difference. Seems to be a good chnage for Supreme and AB horses though.

Could make the lawyers hotel in January very competative indeed.
which would be good news for samcro/ next destination/ getabird etc... backers to get a real look at them.

Depends what he does between now and then. And whether you think hes likely to follow up.

Yes take your point mate. Assuming he wins at Christmas, I could easily see him being a 3/1 poke in the run up. But can see why you wouldn't bother now at 7/1 as its unlikely to be a huge difference. And chances are a WPM horse will be well backed at some point.

Do you not think the 33/1 Early Doors looks pretty decent?

Think the revised Golden Cygnet trip could be ideal for Next Destination myself scooby, as have him down as an AB horse. But agree this could become the main Neptune trial. Maybe Debuchet for Mags and Getbaird for Willie?

I think it does look a good price like you say, however if i dont fancy Megli i cant really fancy Early doors at the moment and i dont punt each way antepost.

I'd be pretty sure no debuchet. He'll go for a 2m maiden.
Samcro
Next destination
Getabird
sharjah a possible
Ballyward would be a poss if he gets out soon
Someday
Early doors / red jack /le richeburg would be probable runners imo

Was thinking a 2m maiden first for Debuchet too... but thought they were hoping to have him back for Xmas? Was thinking a 2m maiden first run back, then on to this maybe? Certainly looks a horse that will excel over further than 2m to me.

Dortmund Park entered on the weekend. 2 mile hurdle

Claimantakinforgan entered over 2m2f at Aintree too.

He's also entered over 2m in the first at Sandown. Would be up against Western Ryder potentially

Cheers Rob. Was going through alphabetically haha

Could be another exciting and informative weekend!

Andy Holding has pointed out off the really strong gallop of the race Mengli Khan was in and that he was 15L faster than Apple's Jade on the final circuit... better ground will suit too.... deserves to be fav for Supreme

Watched that myself Kev. Even when you consider they might have gone differently on the first circuit, that's pretty impressive. Also explains why all other runners bar the front two stopped dead and finished so far behind.

Hopefully Gigg will have someone like Morgan in the Supreme to go flat out from the front, like they did there.

He's made for the race :triumphant:

Yes clocked that Kev , unless something comes out over christmas/new year he is most certainly the one to beat.

Anyone got any update on Pym likely seasonal debut or wellbeing please.

Took some 160.0
Dortmund park entered up in a 2 mile maiden hurdle

****
I have already backed him with the books at 50/1 A while back.
