Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

Klassical Dream out to 12/1 on Sportsbook with Aramon at 11s.

I can't see a reason on Social Media for it, should I take advantage?! :encouragement:

Klassical Dream now out to 12's with Betfair for this

Was Al Dancer any more impressive than Ballyandy?

Nope. NTD has done it before though, Splash Of Ginge & Ballyandy both won the Betfair hurdle, both then got beat in the Supreme. They think this lad is better than them 2, and maybe it will be 3rd time lucky for them, but I can't have it myself.

Or My Tent Or Yours.

MTOY won equally as impressively off 149 and came up short in the Supreme. Al Dancer's performance was good on Saturday but it didn't get me rushing to back him for this.

Klassical Dream is very weak, is anything wrong?

It's a fairly settled market now so I'd imagine on or two will be pushed out to reflect the emergence of al dancer,
who's far too short but bookies are drawing more in by looks of it.
Perfect for bookies with the two big lads at racing post having tipped it up.
No doubt got a mention in the paper today and people following.
If you asked both Kealy and Pricewise would they back it now, they'd laugh at you.

The Ballymore is going to be one hell of a race this year at this rate

PP haven't pushed him out though, I'd say it's 50/50 myself still, despite Betfair pushing him out to 12's, they may be trying to get him in their books, as they have generally been shorter than most throughout the build up. Think they went 8's on the 20th Jan, whilst others held on @ 10's, 11's & 12's until the beginning of Feb (Deloitte win).

I think he's a Supreme horse myself, and unless something is wrong with him I would be surprised if they decide otherwise.

Ballymore is still stronger than the Supreme @ this current stage IMO.

Yep, agree with all of this. Bookies are loving it, as the less hardened ante post punters start to get involved and plenty will just back either of the top 2 in the market. I have a step brother who just used to back favourites or 2nd favourites continuously.

In fairness to Betfair, who are not NRNB, they are best odds on plenty at the head of the betting in the Supreme, with the exception of Al Dancer & Aramon.

I'd agree he was the most impressive in recent years and to be fair travelled all over Fever just couldn't get to him.

I don't like any of the big 3 in this at the moment. Will be gutted if KD goes Ballymore.

Klassical Dream 16.0 for this and 17.0 for the Ballymore..... Any views on where he ends up?

Al Dancer got put up 11lb to 152
Grand Sancy got put up 9lb to 152

Both hikes seem a little bit much but hey ho.
Looks like they are 2 highest rated going into supreme, without allowances.
They've had the opportunity to improve it though. Other haven't.

Think MTOY was rated 162 ??

My own view is still the Supreme. I couldn't back him on 2m form for the Ballymore and I think it would be unlike Willie to stick a horse in the Ballymore that has consistently run (albeit only 2 races) over 2m for him so far.

I'm sure others will have differing views, and based on the betting it looks like it is still a 50/50 chance either way, but nothing unusual with a Mullins novice hurdler tbh.

Can't imagine highest rated in the supreme is a strong trend.

Is Grand Sancys 152 more creditable than Al Dancers. I'd say so

I think Grand Sancy was much the better performance myself too.

I thought so, but there was a few who wanted to disagree, as I'm sure you noted.

Hadn't as was at a wedding on Saturday and missed a lot of the action over the whole weekend tbh, piped up with a couple of comments here and there (on other threads) but on the whole I hadn't noted the whole Al Dancer/Grand Sancy case myself. Surprised though, if that was the case.

At the prices Grand sancy is the bet. I’m going down first day been all the other days except a Tuesday, can’t wait. The races on first day look great. My shortlist for this is:
Klassical Dream
Grand Sancy
Elixir De Nutz

Saying this i like to take on the favourite in the supreme - but Al dancer does look good.
