Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

Yeah, was minimal amounts though, surely confidence him not coming here, as definite, it would be for decent amounts?

PP have always been significantly shorter for the Ballymore than this race as well tbf.

He's been quite short with PP for every novice race for some time now, I suspect he'll be expected big things of wherever he goes, but just unsure of trip.

25/1 for the Supreme though versus 16/1 Ballymore. Guess it will depend on the others as usual. I thought with Annamix disappointing it increased the chances of him going Supreme, but markets don't suggest it yet.

Possibly with TF disappointing, he's become the number 1 (if he wasn't already) for the Ballymore?

Yes you'd guess its between him and Carefully Selected for number one spot at this stage.

I know it's extreme to start on next seasons potentials, but just a note that Rich Ricci has purchased 2 4y.o's from France, both of whom finished 2nd @ Auteuil on hurdles debut, they are Feu Du Bresil (Fouin) & Fly Smart (Macaire).

No doubt at least one of them will be an early favourite for the novice hurdles @ the festival next season!

A sad indictment of where we are this season. In all my years, I don't think I can remember one so devoid of potential stars by this stage.

The grounds ruining it IMO, watering needed like they'll do at the festival anyway or races need staged at dundalk over hurdles.

As someone rightly pointed out the other day though jack, would they run on questionable watered ground on debut either? I'd guess not.

What about Dundalk then?

Not sure a week's pre watering would make it all that dangerous, just a risk a course would take in case it started pouring + they'd go heavy quite quickly. But worth the risk as they'd attract a good amount of runners i'd guess.

Bit late now anyway.

Sounds like we'll be seeing Angel's Breath again in the Supreme trial at Haydock next Saturday (race Neon Wolf won a few seasons ago)

Many people have been asking about Angel’s Breath and I’m pleased to say that he has come out Ascot really well. He’ll work tomorrow and if all goes well he’s a possible for Haydock next Saturday in the Rossington Main Supreme Trial

Mister Fisher worked very well this morning and we’ve just got to make a plan for him. There’s nothing for him at Cheltenham on Trials Day so Haydock is also a very small option, although I suspect Angel’s Breath is more likely

God I loved Neon Wolf :(

Who do you like more ATM jono, if you have to back Angel's Breath or Mister Fisher?

Worth noting for the Rathhill backers/knockers

IT wasn’t the greatest day at the office last Saturday with a few disappointments including Rathill in the Unibet Tolworth Hurdle but we discovered that he wasn’t 100% sound after the race and are going to do further investigations on Monday. It’s obviously a real shame but, hopefully, it’s nothing too serious and we can get him back on track. At least we have a reason for the below-par run.

"Vision D'honneur
is a nice horse who was showing up well at home before going to Leopardstown over Christmas. He ran a solid race to finish fourth behind*Klassical Dream*but I am hoping that he can do better. He looked green at various stages of the Leopardstown race and was behind the bridle all the way so I'm hoping that experience will have sharpened him up and brought him forward. I'm still hoping that he will be able to make his mark at a decent level this season"

Happy they are skipping the Moscow Flyer and going for a maiden with him

Edit: Scooby is Elixir D’ainay a decent yard stick?

It's the best thing to do with him. He's still on a learning curve. I wouldn't write him off completely on that 1st run. It could also work out a very good race

I'm not a fan of aqps form tbh and how that translates to hurdles so elexir dainay could be anything.
