Cheltenham 2019 Ante-Post bets

Can't find a price about If The Cap Fits for the Arkle next year. Despite being impressive over hurdles this term he has loads of scope sometimes giving his hurdles too much daylight at times. Would imagine if fences was Fry's plan he'd have had time to get plenty of schooling into him before being sent out to graze for the summer. With Summerville Boy staying over hurdles, Kalashnikov stepping up in trip and Getabird looking anything but consistent he has obvious claims imo.

Memory is failing me here, but did Fry mention him being a chasing type in the future or not?

I'm interested in him for the Arkle or the CH to be perfectly honest. He won't be missed on the forum at all but he'll be a decent price for either even when there is an update on him I'd imagine...with him missing the festival and all. I'd like 25/1 plus... any race market ideally :highly_amused:

**I see 365 have him 25/1 in the CH market... so I'll go back to point 1, did Fry mention chasing or not? I can see him having a CH campaign...

Bet365 & Ladbrokes both got back to me with a price of 20/1 for the Arkle. Was hoping for a little more juice but its fair enough i suppose. That said he's 14/1 to win any race at the festival with Hills.

I'll have to look back on my notes to see if Harry mentioned chasing in the future, think i can recall him touching on it somewhere.

14s is half tempting to be honest at this stage. Could end up in handicaps too to be honest

I’ve requested odds on Tornado Flyer any race with Sky and been given 12/1

Horse was well supported on the day at both Cheltenham and Punchestown which suggests he is well fancied by the Mullins yard. With Germany going out I’ve used my free £10 on it

Out of interest, which race do you think he's most likely to end up in?

Seemed to find a lot in the Punchestown bumper, a race that tends to be won by future stayers - BBB, Bellshill, shabeshill recently have all gone on to 3m plus wins.

That would suggest to me ballymore - I’m a believer in the stayers need to be hardened and this horse only has three races going into to the novice season. Admittedly that is also where I see Hollowgraphic who is my biggest AP bet so far

Good shout , that's the one in waiting for . Tornado flyer and black bow, they're both ballymore horses imo. If one was going to drop down in trip, would be blackbow. Blackbow deffinately won't go 3.
I want 16s any race which could well be available at some point, and to atleast see a maiden win and know theyre sound.

Id also be pretty sure tornado flyer beat hollowgraphic in his work before chelt. Bumper form dosent alway translate straight to hurdles though as we all know

I have Tornado flyer on my radar , i think he'll go Ballymore . - 25-1 with B365.

Any news yet on where Laurina is headed next year?

No. I don't expect we will until around September.

We didn't hear about the plans for Yorkhill until much November and I highly doubt a decision has been made yet.

Cheers; was just wondering whether to speculate and chuck a few quid on her for the Arkle

I would assume her & Melon would be split up? one goes chasing, other champion hurdle bid?

Melon and Laurina have different owners so tricky one to call

Does anyone follow Gary Nuttings antepost bets on ATR? He seems to bang in a few winners at good prices? Last saturday he had 2 bets up. I did the 14/1 bet that lost and the other bet (16/1) wins for him !!!

I did some analysis on his Cheltenham ante post record and he was down for the last two years HOWEVER... I do read his columns and believe he's profitable to follow in the long term. (I do know he does a paid tipping line though) so the 'free' one on ATR worries me slightly

Does anybody have a burning desire to start the Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle or Champion Chase 2019 threads? I've already done the Stayers Hurdle one and I'm happy to do the others over the next couple of weeks but the floor is open for anybody else who wants to do a bit of a preview....

Go on then Kev, I’ll have a stab at starting a Champion Hurdle thread this week, big shoes to fill though!

Not sure if it’s been mentioned yet but it’s the first time I saw it

Sandro and Presenting Percey any race 14/1 skybet
