Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

There seems to have been a move on Al Dancer for the Betfair today. I’m starting to think I may have been a little hasty in assuming that Angels was Dai Walters’ No.1 for this. Al Dancer has course form and his win last time has some good form lines, especially with the Tizzard horse. Form will be tested further in 2:55 at Taunton today and the beast in question is being backed. What would be the scenario if AD happened to win the Betfair, as out of the two Dai Walters horses he looks the out and out 2-miler IMO. I know Segal tipped it up a while ago and many of us scoffed at the time but he must get one right before too long!

I'd say we have it right with Angel's Breath myself. The horse Al Dancer beat LTO, Not That Fuisse, is rightly supported now he is up in trip, he's not a 2miler, 3 of his 4 runs over hurdles he's been 'never nearer' or 'never a factor', so for me he should go well today regardless of the Al Dancer form.

Despite Kalashnikov's heroic run last season in the Supreme I don't think many, if any, Betfair Hurdle winners usually make an impact in the Supreme after running in the race, may be wrong though, so open to the history lesson / stats, should anyone know?

MTOY won the Betfair before finishing 2nd in the Supreme.

The Al Dancer Supreme angle is the reason I haven’t cashed out of my Angels Breath Ballymore ticket, will wait & see how the next few weeks play out first, that coupled with 365 still having him priced up at 33’s.

Edit: Just noticed bet365 have cut him to 20/1

My Tent Or Yours won it before getting done by Champagne Fever. Darlan fell when cantering before finishing 2nd in the Supreme. It's a route Henderson has liked and Nicholls always talked about in the Zarkandar days

Same as Kalashnikov then. I do hold a AB ticket for the Ballymore too, and like you have held from cashing it out, but not because of Al Dancer, but because I still am unsure where AB goes, but I am sitting at around 90/10 Supreme/Ballymore.

I’m spilt 50/50 so a run for my money in either race and I’ll be happy.

On a line through Not That Fuisse and Seddon, you can make a strong case for Al Dancer. The Betfair may not have produced a recent Supreme winner but it has been a big pointer to festival winners and placed horses in the past... didn’t Make a Stand win it on route to the Churdle?

Haven't read back, but Paul Kealy has put up Al Dancer for the Supreme in the Weekender- which will also mean he'll be backed for betfair.

Kealy put Al Dancer up for both the this and the betfair hurdle

He had Movewiththetimes more recently, second in the BH them got injured late on (after the Betfair Cheltenham preview )

The only thing putting me off Al Dancer is the owner having Angels Breath for the Supreme.

In the same position as others with AB for the Ballymore.

Decent Article on Oddschecker today , by Andy holding , Supreme novice hurdle preview.

Any chance of the link - I can't see it on site?

Don't follow tipsters personally but Andy Holding has a proven record to be fair to him.

Great tipping.
A horse thats done his suspensory.
That's why they are sponsored by the bookmakers.
Al dancer is a horrendous tip also. The owners same horse is fav and considerably better

If Angels is considerably better than the horrendous Al Dancer then reckon he is home & hosed!
