Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

Sorry CoD - missed this.

Yeah, I did acknowledge I may be being harsh on him,. but his price isn't backed up by the form for me (and I'm not on at a 20+ price, so easy enough to look elsewhere for now.)

He may be very good in time, but the form doesn't show me that yet, so he's under priced - but that doesn't mean I don't think he can win :)

Agreed Kev- CP's form is worth nothing at this stage. He could be anything and at 16s he's no bet for me.

We all know to win a Supreme a horse must jump quick in the main. I had a little look back at Angels Breath and felt he was a little slow over his 4 hurdles so with 8 hurdles he will lose more ground and Mister Fisher wasn't great either. I am currently at a loss as to what horse I can back or maybe we have not seen the winner yet, and I know this would be very unusual but its a unusual year.

I really like Al Dancer, has the C&D win and pulled clear in his last win. The only thing putting me off is the same owner as Angels Breath, now do we think AB could go to the Ballymore? Or would Henderson not advise putting AB up against Champ, Henderson will surely have to match up a couple of his decent novices but which way round do we all think he'll play it???

The owner was pretty clear that he wouldn't mind them both running in the Supreme as they both look like Supreme horses ... that's how I read it anyway in the Racing Post

Interesting, thanks for the reply Kevloaf.

If either of them were to split i'd say AB to the Ballymore as he's from PTP and won over 3m. Thats just the logical though process though.

Do hills do a price boost every day or is it just now and again?

Only if you're a Bear or hamster, and have just come out of hibernation since the opening cheltenham meeting in October.
Johnboy, are you a bear or a hamster ?

Neither Q .... I like to think of myself as an Eagle on the wing...lol

Yeah, I see the angle ... but I don't think he'll re-route the Supreme favourite.

I suppose an incredible performance in the Betfair Hurdle could change it slightly ...

I'm working on the assumption both are going the 2most route though

I thought he'd already put up Al Dancer for the Supreme at 20s so guessing he has just added Mister Fisher after his run at the weekend

Maybe hes mentioned it before but his official pick isnt due until tomorrows paper (online this evening).
Also does ballymore this week

Paul Kealy put Al Dancer up for the Supreme (and the Betfair) in his weekender column Rhinestone, that’s probably who your thinking of. Segal put Al Dancer and Mister Fisher up today as mentioned and gave Elixir De Nutz a good mention as well, basically like the rest of us he’s not really sure!
