Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

This race looks as trappy as last year. So here goes.

Elixir De Nutz: Very slick hurdler. Rock solid form, franked. Not sexy(if trained by hendo he'd be fav)could be a Champagne Fever?

Angels Breath: eye-catching victory. Only jumped 4 hurdles. Could be very smart, but we don't know yet.

Mister Fisher: Workmanlike victories. Scappy hurdler. Beat a horse who tried to run out of the track twice. The rest looked like no-hopers.

Aramon: Wrong profile? would be a long way behind Quick Grabam.

Vision D'Honneur: Pleasing victory. Slow time. He could be a big improver.

Felix Desjy: Big reputation. Beaten by everything. Change of tactics brought about an excellent performance in a very quick time. Interesting.

Battleoverdoyen: Would be of interest if he ran here. Not likely?

Klassical Dream: Won 20 runner hurdle beating a O'Brien horse that had been thumped before with Satoshi in 3rd? Not sure thats Supreme winning form.

Conclusion on this side of the pond: Elixir rock solid form. Angels Breath could be special. DRF should fill in a few gaps with the Irish horses.

Think that's fair enough

This is not me defending the horse because I’ve been on all season but I think there is some recency bias in your assessment of Mister Fisher. His Boxing Day win is the polar opposite of how you’ve described him.

Prob the most bias opinion iv ever seen.

Elixir de nutz would never be fav. He's beat 2 nicholls handicappers, and his form is average when he's showing his hand.

Mister fisher has the best form on offer. Inexperienced and room for improvement.

Angels breath that's fair

Aramon ...

Vision d'honneur that's fair.

Felix desjy, no chance beat a poor bunch last time, well held.

Battle over doyen 999.0 to run here

Klassical dream.
Beat Joseph's entoucas who is a good horse. And the aforementioned vision d'honneur very comfortably. Jumps well has plenty of hurdles experiance at a high level

JM,
Lets review my assessment regarding MF after the race. Good luck.

I love you Scooby. You don't do BIAS do you??
:highly_amused::highly_amused:

I don't think beating Thomas Derby 5L getting 5lbs is the best form on offer.

Angels Breath beat handicappers. You can pick holes in all of the form but you only pick holes in the ones you haven't backed. It's called confirmation bias.

Very apt. Spot on!

Mister Fishers finishing place is not the point and I’m not saying he’s going to win. The point is that you’re assessment of him is based on one run rather than factoring in other races.

Give us the winner Scooby, and not the 20 horses you've backed. Simples.

What 20? I backed tornado flyer 25s blackbow 28/1 / annamix 20/1. Elderado allen 33s all cashed for money back.

Quick grabim 50s profit. And Rathhill at 25s cashed for 60% back.

Left with.

Angels breath 33/1 EW
Mister fisher 22.0
Klassical dream 65.0 28/1
Prince Daubrelle 440.0
Vision d'honneur 120.

The winner? Any of them will do.
If i don't have the winner so be it. But I'm very happy with what iv backed.

I'll ask you the simple question again scooby, give us the winner........

Scooby must love getting layed into each Sunday on here. :highly_amused:

I find it hard as i could be putting up the wrong one out of them. They're all different.
I'd go angels breath .I'm very keen on him. But would I be suprised if any of the above beat him, not really.

I thought you might go for him. Thanks.

Kick in the Nutz for any Champagne Platinum backers today?

I had the e/w double as highlighted but that run today rules CP out for me for now... maybe a little harsh but Champagne Platinum wasn't exactly thrashing IDG and the form looks pretty useless now?

Surprised you see it this way Kev. After all it was Champagne Platinum's debut over hurdles so surely some allowance for improvement despite the form of the horses he beat being poor.

He's 2 from 2 over hurdles, it will be of more interest to see how he gets on in his next race, presuming he has one before the festival, otherwise it makes him a bit more of an unknown should he turn up without another run, as he could have improved no end for all we know.

What’s with the aggression and bitchyness, aren’t we all here for the same goal ??

We all have different strategies, I don’t see the need for these actions/ comments

I think they're just messing about,
bit like 2 puppies, looks like they're being aggressive, with growling and tail wagging, but just playing I reckon.
