Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

You got mocked? What about poor old Annamix? He got badly mocked - turns out the stable might have been right after all... he is their best novice! Just that the rest are shocking.

What about KD?

I thought VDH looked like he flicked a switch after the last, however the 2nd didn’t loose too much on him.

Encouraging for both sides

Im finding it very hard to get a handle on much of the Irish novice form, I must be honest. The form of Willie's yard is making it very hard to assess.

I can park the Swordsman idea of being a Supreme Horse :highly_amused:

40's VD with Betway. I'd take that if I had an account.

Muddling form. VD won today. KD beat that into 4th last time but the 3rd had previously chased up Buildmeupbuttercup who was stuffed today. Personally think that Angels Breath is miles ahead of this lot

Yep, the proximity of Dancing On My Own in the two races puzzles me also.
But I suppose good days, bad days, improving horse's etc.
Willie's two in the Moscow Flyer supposedly "got tired in their first run's like a lot in the yard".
Looks like second time out they get even more tired:highly_amused:
It's never straightforward is it

Supreme N.H the plan for Felix Desjy . - Racing post just now.

Went to 20/1 straight after the race and is customary with them, you can get about £2.17 on. I actually logged on to try and take the 40's but wasnt there.

40's was there on the website. Someone took it 20's now.

On VD “He’s a nice horse. We think a lot of him, we think he’s a very smart horse,” said Elliott.

“In Leopardstown he didn’t do anything wrong, only got beat. He was just green and jumped big. It might have been a blessing in disguise that he got beat that day.

“Jack came in and said he was still green and said he’s going to come on a lot from the run today.

“He’s a horse that does everything very easy at home, so he’ll be OK hopefully.

“He’ll probably go to Leopardstown (Dublin Festival) now for something and he’s a horse that could step out in trip as well, he’s not just a two-miler, because he’s so relaxed and has a great attitude.”

Iv a few simular. I did say he was his best a while out when he won his schooling hurdle And people mocked when he lost 1st time up.

You dismissed him when I started talking him up and said they’d ‘overpaid’ for him. Then he wins the schooling race and your tune changed quickly :highly_amused:

I certainly did. I stated that at the time. I thought was a complete overpayment.

Must be the first time bookmakers have cut a horse more for winning a maiden over a graded race, right?

One of the most confusing seasons in memory

The maiden was 18 seconds slower than the Moscow Flyer. About a furlong and a half? Strictly on times, every runner in the MF would have finished about 100 yards in front of the maiden field.
