Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

Annamix must break the record for the most talked about Cheltenham horse that nobody has ever seen on a racecourse! I haven't backed him but I hope one of two things happen. Either he bolts up on the absolute snaff so all those on here with big prices can get excited, or he completely flops and we all move on. One or the other please

Well I very much hope it’s the first

Tornado Flyer very much one to keep an eye on for this too, looks as though he will be running in the Future Champions Hurdle if PP/Betfair cut is anything to go by. Just got a boosted 3/1 with Ladbrokes for that.

Rich Ricci talking about his horses on R.Post site today .

Vision D'honneur
"is a nice horse who came to us during the summer after starting out in France where he won his only start on the flat. He jumps well and shapes like a horse with plenty of ability so I'm looking forward to getting him started for the season and I'm hoping that he will be able to make his presence felt. He's been showing us that he's a smart horse which is why he has some good entries over the course of the season"

I love The Big Bite as a horse, perhaps not a typical Supreme type- and will have to give 8Ibs to Mister Fisher + 3Ibs to TD which will be difficult, but really intriguing race.

Just been watching his [The Big Bite] races back, he's not actually been mentioned here until you did on page 85 which is surprising given how visually impressive he has looked.

Get's a decent mention in One Jump Ahead too. His jumping got better the further/faster he went.

Sat down to look at the Boxing Day racing and started at Kempton 12::50 (which is this race).... spent 28 minutes so far and I don't know who I want to win, who will win, or what I will be doing :highly_amused:

I have The Big Bite in my tracker ever since I read that book, but didnt really back it or took notice of his two wins until I was doing some studying for the 12:50 race, which looks to be a great one!

Totally agree with your comment, the further and quicker he goes, the better his jumping!

I really like Thomas Darby, I do rate him but needs to improve on his jumping. I think he'll be much better over a testing track, in a strongly ran race, potentially over softer conditions. I think Kempton will be too sharp for him on Wednesday, despite the 3lbs

I have Didtheyleaveuoutto as a complete speed horse with a great turn of foot. Good ground, race ran at a weak pace suits this horse down to the ground. I'm going to lay this horse in March, but think Kempton will be right up his street on Boxing Day.

The Big Bite could be anything here. Sounds like they are going down the Tolworth route which I think would suit

Didtheyleaveuoutto may have it his own way on Wednesday, but I expect both Thomas and Bite to pick up major honours in early 2019

Willie seems to be keeping tornado flyer to 2 miles atm. If both him and annamix turn up here unbeaten, who do you reckon ruby rides?
I'm hoping annamix for my ante post bets....

I think a couple of things have to happen for Tornado to end up here, number one Annamix not as good as we are told and that Willie has a better 2m 5f horse than Tornado which he could have in Blackbow or maybe something else that hasn't run yet.

Only have 1U on Vision d’honneur any race but being looking forward to seeing him run all year

You'd struggle to see him being involved based on that. Cashed out my lot on him.

Yes not an inspiring run at all. He’ll need to go up in trip by the look of it.

Took 20/1 Mister Fisher straight after that

Did it well yesterday, although was getting weight from the main principles.

Dovecote next it seems.

Not sure where TD or DTLYO will end up...

Henderson said: “He ran a good race at Newbury (when second on debut), but we just thought we would ride him more aggressively. He has enjoyed his work up front, so we let him do his own thing. They were trapping most of the way, too. He jumped very well and quickened up well.”

Paddy Power cut the winner to 14-1 from the 33-1 for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham in March, and Henderson said: “You would have to think so (Supreme class). I’ve been lucky, with Angels Breath and a few others lurking in there.”

Looking to more immediate plans, the Seven Barrows trainer said: “There is the Dovecote (at Kempton). I don’t think we will go to Musselburgh, as we got a lot of bloody noses up there last season.”

Mister Fisher was really good yesterday.

I think people may under estimate the form as the 12/1 shot was a good second, but no real reason to think Thomas Darby hasn't run his race (given an RPR of 131 for the 3rd time in fact) and he seems a reliable yardstick.

16/1 is a perfectly fair price still.

Well done to those on at 33/1 :encouragement:

About time I had a change of luck :highly_amused:

I really liked Thomas Darby until yesterday. He stuck his head in the air when push came to shove and didn't go through with his run.

If he runs Mister Fisher at Kempton on Boxing Day then it’s a good sign for me as Henderson must still rate him. He sort of admitted he may have under cooked Mister Fisher on debut as he does everything so easily at home. Fingers crossed he’s back on track as he was the first name on my 2019 Cheltenham shortlist.

I've been lightly banging the drum for Mister Fisher for some time but I'm not going to get too carried away with his Boxing Day win just yet.

Thomas Darby was very keen and is still a bit sloppy over his hurdles. He ran on at the end so may want further now.

The Big Bite jumped terribly and gave his race away by making too many bad mistakes.

Didtheyleaveyououtto traveled into the straight well but then stopped pretty quickly.
