Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

Grand Sancy form boosted by Vision Des Flos today. I keep coming back to that Kingwell form and trying to find a reason why GS might have been flattered, but he’s beat them fair and square, ground it out really well in the straight. That reads so well in the context of this race and 14/1 is a little bit disrespectful I reckon.

Probably means nothing but I got my ‘The festival’ magazine from Cheltenham Racecourse and Willie says Klassical Dream should represent us well in the Sky Bet Supreme Novices

...probably put together in December.

When was it published? Could be old quotes?

Hope he does run him here. Be a strange one to switch him now IMHO.

I hope thats the case but I doubt it. I think he's only mentioned easy game will be going to the ballymore and I don't think they'll rely on him to be their first string where as I think they'll be happy enough to be solely represented by Aramon here, given how well he ran against KD last time.......
Like I say I hope not though as iv not covered him in he ballymore

So if Aramon gets done by a head in the Supreme he's going to feel a right dick for not running KD isn't he? Especially if KD gets done by Battleoverdoyoun or Champ or Birchdale or Beakstown in the Ballymore

I agree, he probably will........I just think if he had the likes of tornado flyer, carefully selected and blackbow then he'd stick them both in here without a 2nd thought but given the fact he's quite thin on the ground then he's going to have make some tough decisions like this.

Hendo today: “There should be quite considerable improvement to come from Angels Breath – he’d been locked up at home and had three fairly quiet weeks when we were just starting to prepare him.

“We’re pretty sure we’re staying at two miles for the Supreme, and a stiffer track will suit him much better, as would a little cut in the ground. He still ran very well in what was a very good time and we were all very happy with him.”

I don't get why Allaho isn't the Ballymore number 1. He likes him and said Ballymore post-race so why run him in the AB? Ruby saying he's slow must have changed his thinking.

Wouldn't surprise me if we still end up with KD/Aramon in the Supreme and Allaho/Easy Game in the Ballymore. Would leave him light in the AB department but could still run a couple there.

Good luck to anyone laying 60s we know Willie decides late. We don't know the ground etc yet.

I love the cash out option and so far this season think I have generally used it very well. That said I feel I messed up cashing out AB yesterday for 25% profit (still third of winnings tied up in free bets). Message to brain, once Bet365 has pushed a price out after a poor performance they do not as a rule push it out again in next 24 hrs if not a lot longer, so take your time and get all the post race info before making a decision. In hindsight, wished I’d only cashed out half stake as can see him going off around 8s now. Topped back up a bit at 10s NRNB so will still be pleased to see him win.

Lots and lots of form line chats today by the looks of it , plenty taken far too literally for my liking with the English horses beating each other then various form boosts quoted over indifferent trips etc . Lots of 140+ rated horses with quite a few looking flattered/inflated could it be that this year really is a sub standard bunch and any of 5/6 could win on the day or are we just waiting for a couple to improve markedly on the day?

So Fakir is not fancied here much ? It won't lose, best of luck with those e/w's :)

Form done no favours today by Fast Buck?

The two 4 yo's that've done well in the Supreme, Hors La Loi III and Binocular both went on to win a Champion Hurdle....

5/1 a short price now to follow in those hoof-prints?

I just think that Fakir will have improved even more come the first day mate, really can't see by it, if you get 5/1 on the day...take it.

I'm fortunately on 81.5/1 - EW Double Fakir D'oudaries(10/1) / Sire Erec(13/2) so won't be having anything at all on the 5/1.

He can win at that price and good luck to him/you/and my favourite trainer :triumphant:

On the Rp this morning regarding Ab from Henderson

“Angels Breath suffered defeat for the first time to Southfield Stone in the Dovecote on Saturday, but Henderson confirmed the Dai Walters-owned five-year-old is set to stay at two miles with the prospect of a much-improved showing in the Supreme.

He said: “There should be quite considerable improvement to come from Angels Breath – he’d been locked up at home and had three fairly quiet weeks when we were just starting to prepare him.
