I've watched it
I watch every race.
remember him being shuffled back on the bend at a crucial stage and making a mistake at the second last then staying on.
but even without that he may have not been 100%, only the horse would be able to tell you that.

Ascot 2 mile handicaps are renowned for favouring horses on the pace as the rail on the home bend just as they get racing is awkward and sharp. By the time the horses in behind re adjust the ones at the front are off and running.
Just like yesterday and the Sancy handicap race at ascot
Brain power won there once and everyone got giddy bout that also, but ascot 2 mile handicaps can flatter winners no doubt.

It depend what makes you determine that it was crap? Times wise it was marginally quicker than the ladbroke. Add in, Al Dancer pulled his way through the whole race. Think he's a solid favourite for the supreme myself. Enough horses have gone close to winning both in recent times.

I don't see the relevance of the Ladbroke here TC2. As I said in my 4 worst favourite post, I think he'll get an honourable place.

Would be interesting if AB ends up running here.. Sky Bet Dovecote Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) (Class 1) on saturday

Id be thinking the owner will tell him 2m3 at warrick. But we'll see. He's pretty adamant 1 gets split. According to Sam T-D

If he does end up there I would say 75/25 Ballymore, Ive not got much on AB for supreme @ 10s but still think it has a v good chance here more so than the ballymore.. the way Hendo talks about AB we could see the next champion hurdler, but I am sure a lot of trainers dream about that..

Iv messaged him via Twitter, but He was on luck on Sunday this morning too.

And Also after the race yest they were interviewing Nigel and dai Walters. Nigel was saying he needs to go supreme as he's a 2 miler bags of pace and next year's champion hurdle horse. ... But dai had been bugging him beforehand to see if he's stay 2 1/2. As he has the 2 horses.

Personally interpreted the pressure to up AD to the Ballymore as an indication that Nicky was going to be difficult to budge doing the same for AB. I think Nicky will dig his heels in just as much as the Twiston-Davis team has. Personally make AB about 65/35 chance to head to the Supreme similar to his respective prices for both races. Distance of his next entry will have me favouring that though

I understand that. But how can Nicky be telling him that when he's a ptp winner, we all know, the previous handler dai employs knows. and dai himself knows,
that he stays 2 1/2 no problem.

I don't get how Nicky could say he dosent.

Totally get where you are coming from, as don’t think Nicky saying but I think i already have the winner for that race is a particularly strong argument. Oh to be a fly on the wall when they discuss this

Could be a case he'd make. But I wouldn't believe that for 1 minute to be the case.

I can only guess. So we'll have to sit back and see what happens.

Interesting, if both dug their heels in & both said supreme but the owner really wanted to split them up who would have the trump card if it was down to the trainers Nicky or Twiston? surely Nicky has the much bigger stable/stars? so final say.

Not saying this is going to happen just interested if it did..

One tanks through the race behind the bridle and is a certain 2 miler. The others a ptp winner. Theres only 1 way to split them if they did.
