Samcro has no form in the book suggesting he can win a Stayers Hurdle. None whatsoever.

Beating Black Op in the Ballymore isn't good enough on a line through Black Op.

Faugheen has beaten Penhill - joke of a race or not, he still ran 3 miles faster than Penhill did.



Anyone backing Samcro over Faugheen, show yourselves and let battle commence :devilish:

Quite the statement for the chap who had him as an RSA contender, being over 3m :devilish:

I actually need Samcro enough for a couple of ridiculous looking (as in total crap) 'any race' bets anyway, and keep forgetting about them so can leave him well and truly alone for this anyway.

When he won the Ballymore, and after Aintree - the form looked really strong.

We now know, it wasn't. Nothing wrong with that :)



Did you have the Laurina, Altior, Samcro (any race) treble at 25/1? I did when I throught Samcro was going chasing.... :highly_amused:
 
Samcro running to 160 over 2 miles, if you accept that hes a stayer you could see him improving, now not sure if he'd improve enough, but if he has had a physical issue and its fair to assume he has and they have sorted it out, wouldnt be shocked at all to see him running to 170. I do worry if mentally he might of gone though, but if hes still up for the fight I think 3 miles will be the making of him. Really hope he and Faugheen turn up coz it really does make this an interesting race, without them its pretty desperate.
 
Theres a big buzz about Faugheen in the yard at willies (before you start I know it’s pre cheltenham and they’ll big him up)- Codd mentioned him. And the shark on a preview I was at just said ‘everyone in the yard has him above Penhill for this’

Imagine PP, Penhill, samcro and Faugheen coming round that bend turning into a very good contest this
 
As alluded to earlier one of two things is happening in this race in my opinion.

1) Faugheen wins on the steel
2) The lads are angling for a bigger price on Penhill for The Lizard to pile in

Ruby talked up Paisley park earlier in the week as well.

Is that a genuine opinion?! There is literally no way on the planet option 2 is viable.

There would be much much much easier ways to get a price about Penhill if they wanted to.

Ive been in the Faugheen camp for months. Its run in April at Punchestown was great and he hadn't been asked anything when he fell in December. Clearly is a 3m horse these days and still has the old engine firing

The news doesn't really hit me big time but I am fuming about that offer the day before this news. Shithouse scumbaggery of the absolute highest order from William Hill there.

Very frustrating, I've been quite lucky in that I also have Faugheen and potentially Samcro as bets in the race, but ultimately another, of Penhill's quality, would not have hampered my chances. Gutted.

Can only hope Closutton have the machine ready now!
