Ryanair 2020

Winners of the novice handicap chase have never won another festival race. Is A Plus Tard a stat buster?

14 runnings ?
Not many horses outside of G1 company win multiple festival races, handicaps by their very nature especially...

Don't forget Riders Onthe Storm. It will be interesting to see how he gets on against Cyrname on Saturday. I just hope he doesn't have too hard a race with Cheltenham so close. I have all 3 in the book but am very much leaning towards APT. His price is shortening all the time and is now best priced at 3s.

Agree RE Rider Onthe Storm - if the battle against Cyrname is really tough I'd be doubtful about his Cheltenham chances.

If Riders Onthe Storm gets anywhere near beating Cyrname it'll be a monumental effort from him.

I don't have him in the same class at all, I expect him to get beat and go out to a reasonable price reflective of his actual chance.

Single figures for ROTS now I think is a horrid price.

If he beats Cyrname then I'll have to admit I was wrong which wouldn't be a huge shock :highly_amused: but I don't see it myself for him.

Kev - I have been thinking alot of saturday for ROTS also. Hes not been moved on alot today after the Defi news. Paul has said cyrname is prob unlikely to go to the festival. I think with Mins target not 100% known the top 10 in the betting will cut up massively.

I cant see 8/1 lasting long but i kind of hoping he gets lapped on saturday so hes a better price for this ? If hes within a few lengths or even beats cyrname then hes fav or joint favs with APT ??

Can’t bring myself to entertain ROTS getting anywhere near Cyrname

I'd say Min's target is 100% known.... I've been banging that drum since April :highly_amused:

I would hope he drifted after getting beaten.... but if he does get beaten it won't make me fancy him.

There are others on here (as well as Andy Holding) who know more than me that do like him though, so don't take my word for it :)

Personally though, I don't think Riders Onthe Storm is anywhere near good enough to get within 5L of Cyrname.

I’m not sure who (perhaps ROTS is the one) but I fancy Cyrname night just get beat on Saturday.

:concern:

If it makes you feel any better, Footpad had no chance :p

Only joking TKP, injuries are tough to take, I'm sure you'll bounce back.

I had my doubts about Footpad but at 25/1 I was looking forward to finding out. Like many forum members I’ve been haemorrhaging bets over the past fortnight, most of them Mullins horses. Hopefully no more big names are added to the OoftF list :concern:

Unfortunately, there will be plenty.

If you had to pick the winner of the race now, where would your money be going?

40/1 NRNB for Hardline is a price worth taking a look at.

He did flop in the Arkle, but was 10/3 fav for the race and that must have been based on something?

His form this year has no 1's either, and he was rubbish last time, and fell the time before - so it's not hard to crab him.

Just he's 40/1 NRNB and along with Shattered Love (33/1 NRNB) it's the shorst price you can get about a Gigginstown horse in their own race?

Unfortunately I'm on at 33/1 NRNB and he's rubbish so I'm not having any more on, so this is a waste of time.

You know what though, NRNB, despite showing no form at all this season, and probably being gone at the game....

Shattered Love at 35/1 NRNB (Lads) I'm going to chance...

If she can find her 2018 form she's not without hope...

JLT win
1L behind Al Boum Photo
1.5L behind Min in a John Durkan

That's all decent form..... let's see if Gordon can get her back on song, hey.

Save the cuteness for another thread! Its APTs time!
