RSA Chase 2020

CS not entered?

Have to say I always thought he’d be heading NH Chase but trainers usually like a shorter alternative just in case it comes up deep, clearly no stamina questions amongst the team...

Should of tried him to see if he was up to winning the RSA, think theyve been caught out by the new rules

Seems strange though as he's not qualified yet for NHC. Anything could happen

Could it be an error? Doesn't strike me as something WPM would do?

Who are we to question him... but its borderline negligent surely!

Rathvinden all over again. That ended well.

Bit of an overreaction I feel regarding CS.

I don't believe he would worry about CS falling as he probably wouldn't send him to the festival on the back of a fall anyway tbh, so that point is irrelevant IMO.

He's actually made it easier for punters, knowing which race he goes for, for a change, so not sure there is much to grumble about tbh.

I dont think i would take that view if I owned him! Why not cover bases for the nominal extra few quid? He doesnt have to fall. There are other things that could happen that would mean the horse is perfectly fine but won't be able to go the Festival now, which just seems odd.

Agreed, the only thing i'd say is given what Mullins said about the owners last year, perhaps if it doesnt go to plan they won't be as worried as some owners. They really like Punchestown supposedly.

Anyway, hopefully a moot point and he does the job next time and qualifies fine.

Maybe they didn't want to? Or does WPM not train horses where the owner has no say?

I’m taking the no entry for CS as a big plus potentially for the improvement I’m hoping to see from Allaho.

Other than Faugheen is there anything else that looks a 3miler in his ranks to date? I don’t recall any so the best of the rest would be split Arkle and jlt I’d imagine.

I agree. I'm far more interested in what Willie has left in there that he thinks will win than discussing why CS has been left out. Its a confident move from WPM
