15lb higher than his defeat on reappearance.
I actually think he is one that suffers from the Grand Annual switch to the Old Course as he is a strong running 2 miler and the flag to line gallop on the New course would be perfect, 21f on the New Course in the Plate could well be beyond him...

Venetia loves throwing them at the Plate with good success in the main, doesn't she? Saying that, running Cepage in the Ultima when quite literally everything pointed towards him having a very good shot at the Plate last year was a horror decision.

Runners in the Grand Annual since 2010:

Bright New Dawn (2018 - 10th @ 66/1), Brick Red (2015 - UR @ 25/1), Dare Me (2014 - 7th @ 14/1) Drumshambo (2014 - 13th @ 40/1 & 2013 - 4th @ 20/1), Renard (2013 - 7th @ 25/1).
Did win it in 2000 with Samakaan who went off 9/2 fav and 3rd in 2004 with Reiziger @ 33/1.
 
With the Irish Champion Hurdle coming up.......it wouldn't be the greatest shock if Sharjah picked off Honeysuckle so...

Isn’t Cadzand the Skelton County plot ?
 
Cadzand has been talked about as the more obvious one, but he was on Road to Cheltenham the other week and Proschema was mentioned and he seemed impressed that the viewer had spotted that.

There are risks (to the overall double) that the ground won't be "good" enough, but as NRNB, if nether runs - it's just a healthy EW single - 5 places

Not huge stakes, so not one I'll lose sleep over, but running both yesterday on the AW was a fair indication that he wants to keep them fit, whilst maintaining their marks.

Targets for both are pretty clear as well :encouragement:
 
I've backed.... Not that Fuisse for the Brown Plate @ 40-1 , 2,6,1,2 over 2mile 3 f , 2mile 4 f.
And included in the Forum Yankee - january for the G.A . too .
 
Bit leftfield this one :untroubled: but I'm loving the 5/2 for Gaillard to win on Saturday so why not double it up with Barbados Bucks in the Albert Bartlett given that nearly all the other ones at the head of that market will just have been beaten behind Gaillard.
Bet365 have 5/2 and 14/1 so over 50s for the double.

For those who think Honeysuckle gets turned over this weekend, Sharjah (or one of the others) and Honeysuckle (Mares) could be a decent play.
