This year's bumper horses as a whole are a bit crap in my opinion but the fact a 7 year old is running in it is a pisstake, agree with the general point here though.
 
Punchestown just suits him so well unlike Cheltenham and the ground is a major factor with him. GDC a brave 2nd but one race too many again and the ground quicker than ideal.

Hopefully we'll not get the same result with Teahupoo tomorrow but I wouldn't be at all surprised.

Punchestown is an absolute nightmare of a meeting for punters.

Yep, travelled great into the race but just ran on one paced. He's a Stayer for next season I'm certain of it. Forget the Arkle.

He didn't run on one paced he stopped like he was knackered

Mystical power was off it miles out and just outstayed them

I suspect teahupoo will also lose to a faster horse tomorrow unless there's a deluge

He got badly outpaced in the race last year

They should've declared Irish Point

The 3 miles of punchestown will suit him better than teahupoo

Teahupoo could've gone to the French Champion hurdle
 
Kudos to the Irish and British racing authorities who've enabled the programme to enable horses to compete across Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown festivals, and thanks to the Irish / English trainers who've sent horses over to contest the various races. It makes for much better races. Hopefully it will happen earlier in next year's season!

Don't think iv ever backed asterion forlonge but I'm very much considering it today

He finished 2nd last year and a repeat of that could well have him bang there as its basically the same horses but without klassical dream

Drew a blank yesterday - Day 3 longshot lucky 15 E/W for pennies..

3.40 Clever Currency 28/1 - placed in a large field hcp hurdle last time out and stable in good form

6.35 Chantry House - 16/1 - down in the weights and Nico de Boinville back on board

7.05 Lucy Wang - 50/1 - unexposed 4y.o. placed in large field handicap at Christmas - could be anything

7.40 Cantico - 12/1 - didn't take to Cheltenham, and only ride of Jody Townsend today (after winning on Redemption Day yesterday)​
