Hi all,
Loving the site and all of the great banter along with all of the useful information.
I've been looking through the site for the last couple of years and I thought it's about time I joined and at least made a post or two.
I'm a big fan of National Hunt racing and my love for it started when Desert Orchid was strutting his stuff in the mid 80's. My favourite race of all time was, without doubt, the 1989 Gold Cup when Dessie had everything against him but was as brave as a lion and outstayed and out-battled his opponents. Really looking forward the festival and for me it's the greatest sporting event in the world (closely followed by a magical April week at Augusta National). Apologies for spelling and grammatical errors in advance!!
Looking forward to being a small cog in a mighty machine.

Think you may be banned straight away with a name like that !

Just as an FYI, I decided not to have any new members in the week or so leading in to the festival.... however now we're on the other side.... if you're new, introduce yourself :)

Get ready for an absolute glut of sign ups given the publicity of Faugheen wins.

Hi all!

I’m really new to racing, only ever had a casual dabble in the past. I’ve gotten really into it over the course of this year’s festival, but found myself betting haphazardly and despite having a few good picks, had a lot of accas let down by the odd horse here and there.

I saw mention of this forum on Twitter, and seems to be exactly what I’m looking for to understand much more about the game, and hopefully get some good tips for the future!

Cheers
Ant

Welcome Ant,

I was the same 5 years ago, but this forum is the best for learning the game.
I still have a long way to go to join the knowledge levels of some, but it’s an informative, supportive community with plenty of banter.

Enjoy!

Hello everyone, I have been following this forum for a number of years without actually signing up, the knowledge on here is incredible. I am 34 years old so about 4 years ago I really started to get into horse racing. I read every post on this forum about cheltenham and i was definitely in profit thanks to you guys. Look forward to your opinions for aintree in 3weeks.nice one

Hello. New member here. Big fan of the wonderful superstar juvenile that was and is Arazi (he is 32 years young and still going strong!).

Best of luck to everyone over the coming months. Now Cheltenham is done and dusted for another year we head into the sunnier and warmer realms of flat racing... :cheerful:

Hi I'm Craig been into horse racing since I was a small lad with me dad watching them run on the beaches in southern Ireland. Took a more keen interest in the betting side of things when I was around 17,18 I guess I'm not 36 and I love it all from talking about it to reading the forum etc. I just wanted a place to engage about horses and maybe focus more on the antipost side of things I've never really been a big antipost better normally just on the day or with NRNB when that comes in. Anyway cheers for letting me it

Welcome all new members. Hope you all had a good Cheltenham, best of luck for future.

Hi all, been a lurker for a few years and this years Fez definitely my best and a lot of that comes down to the great insight and willingness to share knowledge on this forum. As for the username nothing will beat that day at Punchestown in 2005 when Brave Inca with a little help from AP got back up to beat Harchibald. Anyhow looking forward to joining in and trying to top this year.
