You beat me to it Ista - correct, money back if ballotted out - happened to me a few times over the years
If a horse is too low to get in, you don't lose your money do you? Even without NRNB?
So for example, if It's all Guesswork doesn't get a high enough mark, if he effectively 'balloted out'? Or is it a Non Runner?
No, if a horse doesn’t dun because he/she is balloted out all stakes are refunded

Exactly.
A common factor that punters miss. I learnt that in this forum not long after I joined :encouragement:
So less risk backing a horse that is 'too low' in the weights, as you'll get the money back.
Its all guesswork not entered but in
ULTIMA, KIM MUIR, PIPE
The Organist not entered (or qualified I don't know)
The potential difficulty with the ballotted out “insurance” is that horses aren’t entered/confirmed - might be worse this year with the new one race rule
Added Thomas Campbell 25/1 NRNB. Only handicap entry for the festival, runs in a qualifier tomorrow I believe. 7lb lower than last season in ground he wouldn't have enjoyed. Course form aplenty though.
He does have a win on soft at Cheltenham to his name though?
I can't recall a ground preference for him.... like the angle though. Never liked the horse but certainly of interest.
