Novice Chasers 2027

That's the one we are all waiting for. Usually around this time isn't it?

Love this time of year.
The dissection of trainer comments and confirmation bias is always amusing.
Never mind reading between the lines:LOL:

On a serious note
Does anyone know when the journo’s are due in Mullins yard??
😂😂😂 Not to blow my own trumpet. But I'm usually pretty accurate at it 🤣

To be fair you're not wrong in what you're saying.

The suggestion is clearly there that he doesn't think Old Park Star or Act of Innocence are 3 milers.

And why would he think AOI is better than OPS?

I hope I am wrong as I have him backed for the BANC but I would say the evidence (admittedly maybe only in my own head) points elsewhere

Got Crystal Island at 50s so not worried about that. What worries me more with Hendo is his lack of runners in the race in general. We know trainers hate it because it's too much for a novice. Hendo doesn't even run his staying novices in it 😂 Jango and Lulamba most recently only upped markedly when they came out of novice company. Lulamba yet to race in that sphere obviously but is doing.

Looks like it'll be a proper transition season for Hendo. Loads of potentially decent young horses but likely to blossom as chasers in future years rather than here and now. Will be very strange him not having a single horse for the Champion Hurdle or Champion Chase.

Trabolgon, Bobsworth, Might Bute, Champ

All Hendo winners this century

Oh my lord don't mention Champ. I had what for me was a big bet on Minella Indo back in my one race, one horse days 😂😂

He hasn't had a runner in it since the Turners was taken away. 1 in the last 5 years. Dusart. He has had staying chasers. We all know that. Wonder if there has been a shift in his yard on how they train them.

No idea. A longevity thing maybe?

Wow. Didn't know that. Maybe down to the sort of horses they purchase these days ?
He’s had a slowdown for last few seasons and relied on one or two stable stars in the main.
Looks like he has more ammunition in the novice ranks this year, but we’ll see

…I don’t but looking at last season, there was a couple of summary tours in early Oct but the fuller ones were 25th/26th Oct in Sporting Life. The main RP Stable Tour was posted on 16th Nov.

There is 6lb on OR between the two and 9lb on RPR though arguably AOI best was achieved at a trip he didn't stay. It wouldn't take much improvement over fences for AOI to be better.

Yes. Any amount of improvement if he jumps fences better. That's the beauty of NH racing.

Is this proving my point?

Storming George to stay Hurdling this season as late coming back due to minor setback. Won't be seen until December at earliest.
