Suspect JP may want him in the other race to Sa Majeste (140 IRE before Noble Yeats won the Cleeve), so I think he'll end up in Pipe with Sa Majeste in the Coral

I'd be surprised if they went for Coral Cup where the near on graded horses do better. Plus look who owns him! He's not going to want Henderson saying he's going for the Martin Pipe and he's got a tonne in hand. JP done it with Early Doors, finished 3rd one year, done nothing all season, rocked up a year later and won. 16/1 NRNB is very fair.
 
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that NO ORDINARY JOE (IRE), placed third, lost a left-fore shoe.

Don't think the mark will be an issue.

139 in Ireland and beat 126 rated Mel Monroe by 2 lengths giving 7lbs, shes done very little since.

Ground would be a concern though.

Yeah I wouldn’t be concerned he’d be rated too highly, more a question of if he’d been given one already.

He’ll need no worse than Good to soft in my opinion to be a player. Gavin usually gets a fresh delivery of carrots this time of year too.
 
I was questioning to myself whether there are parallels with path doroux last year and whether it might end a similar way. I think what resonates with me to make me think this may be different is the pains the trainer has gone to, to give him Cheltenham experience, as well as the obvious potential ground related upside.

He’s a possible day of race play for me but I’m not in a rush to back him yet even though I can see him being talked about a fair bit.

I wonder how bullish the trainer is that the MP is the right race as he has entered him for the other two races as well and obviously both his track runs have been on the old course.

“If you are getting weight from those at the top in a race like this then that is where you go. She doesn’t do a lot when she hits the front, but she can find her way through a race quite well and that is why the New Course suits her better.

“On the Old Course it would be a bit of a burn up. She needs things to unfold in front of her. As to who will ride her in the race I’m not sure yet.”

Nurse Susan - M.Pipe

I looked back at the in-race tactics for all of Dan Skeltons Cheltenham Festival Handicap Hurdle winners, yesterday.

They almost all tended to be held up in rear and run through other horses late on, to win.

Should suit her race profile well.

I added Nurse Susan yesterday to my two other NRNB picks for the race, on the assumption

● it's touch and go that my 1st pick Sa Majeste gets in at the top of the weights or not.

● 22/1 was decent for Nurse Susan off 137, for a trainer, who if he has winners it's usually in the handicap hurdles

Its more relatable as sa majeste not getting into the pipe improves on nurses chances in the pipe, langer is going to the coral regardless..

Some leap really.

Nurse Susan's price isn't affected by Sa Majeste's in the ante post NRNB market

If they came out today and said Sa Majeste 100% goes Coral Cup, Nurse Susan's price would likely stay the same.




That said, being in the same ownership / trainer is weak 'related' betting anyway but has a certain alure to it Nwfb89 - I did add with Shan Blue :satellite::satellite:
