Marsh Novices Chase 2020 (was JLT)

I think hes been backed in or cut for here, which is annoying as I have in RSA!

The way he has travelled this season, his jumping and his most recent run, I think he should go RSA. If he goes JLT, I think he’ll find one or two a bit too quick for him. But I do think he’s being underrated by some. Great form, loves Cheltenham, and a big, improving horse.

I’m guessing Reserve Tank goes to JLT and Slate House goes to RSA from what I’ve seen of them both this season.

I'd be guessing that reserve tank may well get an entry for the cleeve hurdle. Knowing tizzard.

But slate house should be RSA all day long. Unless he randomly went GC

I've backed slate house for the JLT but think he'd be better in the RSA a couple of his runs this season he's jumped slowly/sticky early on and in a JLT I think he'll have too much ground to make up.

Does Slate House come here?

No.

Three opinions on why:

There are zero Kauto Star/Feltham winners that have ever lined up in a JLT

Tizzard values the RSA over the JLT (didn't work with LIT last year and wanted FOscar in the RSA before realising he wouldn't stay)

I put him up at 40/1 and I'm never wrong.:devilish:

Brilliant stuff on the 40's. Think the ground will determine whether lots of these go Arkle, JLT or RSA.

Has anyone read anything about Birchdale and whether he’ll be back out again?

No but hes one ive backed any race so keen to find out myself, but the run and the delay dont look great, hoping hes had a wind op and back out soon, something looked wrong physically.

cousin mans runs tomorrow in a novices chat over 2mile 5. He didn't seem to run too well last year, maybe fences could bring him back on.....In a weak division, I could maybe fancy him here and will try and get him priced up

Jeez, Eddie really tears into Samcro. i know the O'Learys can be pretty harsh at times but this doesnt read great.

Gigginstown: handicaps could be way forward for Samcro after latest flop

Gigginstown’s Eddie O’Leary has raised the possibility of Samcro going handicapping after his latest Grade 1 flop behind Faugheen in the Matchbook Betting Exchange Novice Chase at Limerick.
Once considered the most exciting horse in training, Samcro has been beaten in his last five Grade 1s and has not managed a top-flight victory since running away with the 2018 Ballymore Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham.
O’Leary believes it’s time to lower expectations over the horse that once promised so much, admitting that those closest to Samcro cannot put their finger on why he is finishing without any spark in his races.
“You can forget the Samcro who we thought was the real deal at one stage, he's not that any more,” O’Leary said.
“Samcro was disappointing again at Limerick and we hope to find something wrong but we probably won't.
“We'll have to probably end up with a handicap mark now as he's going nowhere as a good horse. A good horse, he is not.
“Hopefully he can prove us wrong, but I think we can just forget about him at this stage.
As a novice hurdler he was brilliant and he finished his races out brilliantly, but there's something amiss now. Whether he just doesn't want to do it any more or not, I don't know.”
A lot of work has gone into getting Samcro back to his best this season and, after romping home in an early-season beginners' chase, the signs were that Gordon Elliott’s charge was on song again.
Samcro went on to divide opinion when he fell at the second-last in the Drinmore when apparently still travelling well behind the eventual winner Fakir D’Oudairies, but O’Leary believes there would have been only one winner had Samcro stood up at Fairyhouse.

O’Leary said: “He's going from cruising to empty in his races and, in hindsight, there's not a hope in hell that he'd have beaten Fakir D'Oudairies had he stood up in the Drinmore.
“We were thrilled for the most part at Limerick, as we were when watching the Drinmore, but within two strides he was empty. His work is good, his health is good, everything is good bar how he's finishing his races.
"Don Cossack disappeared for a season and a half. We live in prayer and hope that Samcro can come back as well, but it will take prayer and hope. It ain't simple.”
Asked if he could put his finger on any number of possible reasons why Samcro was failing to fire, O’Leary added: “All last season he didn't scope right.
"We got his wind done this season, built a new stable for him and he'd been scoping great, but he goes and does that again at Limerick. He's doing exactly what he did last term.
"Is he hollow? No, because he finished his races out as a novice hurdler. There's something amiss but we don't know what it is. You've got to face reality at some stage.”

He's a twat, but this is just him saying what we've all seen (some of us anyway).
Obviously he adds in some overblown stuff too, which is his wont.

Does sound like samcro's been moved out of the penthouse stable with garden and nebuliser and all that.

A Bedsit and a half used bottle of Vic's is all he'll be getting now.

And the bedsit stable door sign now reads....... Britney

Scenes when Samcro rocks up to Cartmel with huge cheekpieces and a tongue tie.

This race seems to be falling apart daily, seen comments that Slate House will be going to the RSA as well.

Gutted Angel's Breath wont be fit enough to be there as I think he would have had a great chance.

This could be Faugheens to lose should he rock up here.

I agree it’s a big shame Angels Breath got injured, Samcro bombed and very little has broken through since but I still think it will be competitive and fancy Mister Fisher & Good Boy Bobby to fight it out with the best the Irish send over which is a bit light because I don’t think Faugheen will come here, I think they’ll go for one of the bigger races with him.

As a Samcro and angles breath fan, I’m left with nothing in the race but I can’t help but think there must be some value at bigger prices but I can t seem to find it lol.
Any ideas, itchy feet, allaho, master tommytucker, birchdale.....
Also if Samcro doesn’t come here who do giggy route here instead? Champagne classic?

I still hope Windsor Avenue comes here, last time was too bad to be true but he did scope badly, was over the wrong distance and the tactics were wrong. So he did have excuses. Would like to see him here and just go from the front.

Itchy feet looks like one of the better jumpers. Allaho possibly will rock up here.

CC is pencilled in for the National Hunt.

Very small chance they give BOD and Samcro a swap and try them over shorter/longer distances respectively. At this stage they'll have to try and do something to get Samcro firing.
