Laurina and Fakir entered in the Scilly Isles.

Time to add her again just in case :highly_amused:

I could see him running laurina here.
He might not want to have too many in the same race (Flogas)
Jockey will be interesting though. I'd imagine they'd all be in ireland.

8/1 NRNB?

I'm not even keen on her anymore but then Stormy Ireland keeps winning races so I keep thinknig she must still be good enough to pick up races.

Especially weak ass English Novice Chases.

:concern:

It would only take her winning this to shoot straight into Marsh Chase favouritism (she'd still split opinion)...

If she runs in this and flops, surely reverts to hurdles?

If she runs and wins, she goes Marsh?

If she doesn't run, you probably get your money back...... or same scenario's in the Flogas?

Already on when Sky went 12-1 pr 11-1 (can't recall).
Would love her to run well.
But have covered for the hurdle races too.
She's one of the better NRNB's still.
ESpecially if she runs here, as the Flogas will likely sort the rest out.

Did wonder if we would see Laurina over hurdles next; hopefully she’s back to her best wherever she runs this weekend

The Dublin Racing Festival takes centre stage this weekend but two Irish-trained Grade 1 winners have been given the option of a trip to Britain instead, with Fakir D’Oudairies and Laurina entered in the Betway Scilly Isles Novices' Chase at Sandown on Saturday.

Both also hold top-level entries at Leopardstown and Joseph O’Brien, who trains Fakir D’Oudairies, noted that ground and opposition could dictate where his five-year-old heads.

"We’ll be making a decision as late as possible as to where he goes," O’Brien said. "At this stage we’re waiting to see how the ground is going to be in both places and what else lines up. The plan has been to run this weekend and all being well he’ll take his chance, wherever that may be."

The going for six of the last seven Scilly Isles contests has been soft or heavy, and O’Brien noted that was a factor in entering him at Sandown.

He added: "That was something we considered when making the entry. We’ll be leaving it late and it will have to be discussed with Frank [Berry] and JP [McManus]."

Is Allaho not a sensible bet at 16/1 NRNB for the Marsh Chase before he runs tomorrow?

He's odds on tomorrow.

Willie Mullins in 2018 ran Real Steel (went on to run in JLT)
Year before, 2017, he ran Kemboy (went on to run in JLT)

Now neither of them covered themselves in glory in their respective festivals BUT they've both proven to be good, and very very good since... so he certainly isn't opposed to sending a nice one here?

Allaho should be putting away two JP runners who are probably not all guns blazing to win anyway?

A definitely chance Allaho goes up in trip BUT 16/1 NRNB is perfectly fair isn't it?

Feasibly Faugheen or Laurina are going to come here and go off shorter but it's not out of this world that Allaho could be Willie's main shot at this race, and it's hardly like Samcro is going to scare him off?

I suppose he could lose tomorrow and still run, but I think it's a decent risk.

Allaho gone fav on Skybet at 4s.

Didn't get enough love at the time. :(

:applause:

I gave it some, Kev :encouragement:

More by luck than anything, as I hadn't fired anything myself in the race, and had some money in my Skynobet acc.

I think he'll go RSA, but an (almost) free shot is never bad. Normally I've got > 3 in every race by now, so lucky to have 0, it may turn out :)

I really quite fancy Mister Fisher here.

10/1 Each Way with the option of cashout? Seems a cracking price to me. The 7s NRNB is just as good to negate the possibility of losing out because of a late injury (we’re now coming up to that part of the season lads where it seems everything gets injured and misses the festival).

Improving, has course form, has festival form, is more than likely to actually run in the race and it looks a poor race even if most of the market leaders actually turned up (unlikely in my opinion).

Mister Fisher E/W @ 7/1 NRNB

Spot on , Im getting sweeter of his chances here. Can see him swinging in behind pace setters turning in. That last race against Fat Dancer , the way he changed gear two out to put himself in box seat to challenge and take it up was really eye catching.

Though I want to see Allaho here too, so much could change after the Flogas on Sunday. I'd be amazed if there's been any strong stance on where he goes until then.

Melon may well stepup. Interestingly it sounds like Willie still sees him as a potential 2 miler but all the talk from the advisers/jockeys in Ruby and Patrick cant wait to see him over further. Faugeen ran a huge race at Christmas but there's every chance he could regress from that run. Can you keep getting a 12 year old to back up that level of performance? I'm not sure...
Then it would look like Laurina will be out somewhere over the intermediate trip this weekend. You could drive yourself mad trying to second guess this race for Mullins right in too much depth imo

Bit of a stretch to say he has Festival form. He finished 8th, beaten over 20L in the Supreme.
