Marsh Novices Chase 2020 (was JLT)

Five O'Clock, as mentioned by the lad on Twitter, could be interesting.

Definitely looking like fences, given Joe Chambers reply.

Priced up @ 40's with SkyBet and just 14's with 365 probably tells you enough that neither bookmaker has a clue about the horse.

You can get 25's any race, which can also be boosted, which seems more appealing at the moment, but I may waste Monday's free bet on him @ 40's for this race.

Any reason you think 2 1/2 over 2?

obviously willie would have to work some magic as he'd be well held by the likes of adjali and pic d'orhy etc... over hurdles.
can never doubt willie though, and the buyer pierre boullard must have seen something that i cant see. But Surely a punt on connections alone rather than race course evidence.

COD, was this a while back, i've had a quick flick through his replies + can't see anything??

Definitely on there Jack. Just do a search for Five O'Clock Mullins and work your way back from there.

No solid reason, breeding has a whole mixture of distance performers, though I'm inclined to feel it will be intermediate/long distance, rather than the shorter 2m.

He improved run by run, and some of the riding has to be questioned, that last race, when he finished 2nd, was about 3rd or 4th throughout, then taken back, for no reason I could see, to about 7th or 8th, then at 3.05 he gets massively hampered with a wall of four or so horses in front of him but runs on well to the line for 2nd.

I mentioned the any race price, which is certainly the safest option, and why I would only be using a free bet on the JLT option.

Just a word of caution here while I saw Joe's reply on twitter but Rich has mentioned he is a chaser in the making saying also 'hoping he will do well in novice hurdles this season'

The quotes from the Tizzards this week is enough for me to have had a switcheroo. Already backed Reserve Tank for the JLT but cashed out back up bet on the RSA and reinvested on the Arkle at 25s with 365

Wouldn't be surprised if they pulled Reserve Tank tomorrow. No point bottoming him out now in that ground. Rained all night, still raining and even more due.

Reserve Tank declared, but only 3 opponents.

Will be a tough ask on chase debut against Secret Investor, even if getting 5lbs. The experience is with Secret Investor.

Vision D'honneur, unfortunately, has had a setback and I'm not sure if or when we'll see him this season.

thought they'd been quiet on that one

Nicholls just confirmed he’s a non runner due to the ground

That's frustrating. Suppose the same for Posh Trish then?

Still raining hard. Tomorrow's fixture must be in doubt id imagine. Even if it was on I can't see Tizzard risking him on a bog.

Well it looks to be on so im off to catch me train to Chepstow :):very_drunk::)
Good to soft and no problems with the rain,Im a happy bunny

Don't miss the good thing that is Ballyandy. His mate Ballyoptic could also run a big race after dropping to a winning mark. Still worried about the ground for RT. Jarveys Plate won in a bog on New year's Day so he looks the main danger. Enjoy the day !
