Marsh Novices Chase 2020 (was JLT)

As one who fancied him (expecting a bigger price) Iv wrote him off for this completely,


He has no change of gear. So im not sure why he was stacking them up behind, maybe he diddnt have the pace to turn it on and use his jumping to his advantage.

I always think with horses that aren't "sexy" - you can afford to see them again and again before they get over bet.

WA is the kind of horse that wouldn't ever make it to fav for a festival race... so he'd be value on the day.

Not knocking 40/1 shots obviously, but I hope you can all see what I mean?

Jesus, Sean Boyce. Baffles me how he gets so much air time on the Cheltenham preview circuit as he is generally absolutely terrible tipping winners at Cheltenham. On the FFP preview (which was a bit of a joke in itself) he just stuck to picking ludicrous outsiders that went on to do very little (I think he had one place at 50/1 but that was about it in the last few years). Having said that, a broken clock is right twice a day so maybe he'll get lucky with Windsor Avenue. I hope so as I am on at 40's. Given an RPR 155. Jumps superbly and quickened away under a penalty like a very good horse. Will be interesting to see what he does next. High 150's to mid 160's puts him bang there for a JLT and he looked to have plenty left by my eye the other day winning easily. He's only beaten Ballymoy mind but an exciting one nonetheless.

Far more chance the shit lands back on your face than getting to the Moon.

Happy with that, ran right to and through the line, you couldn't be disappointed if you have him for this or the Arkle tbh. I still think he'll come here mind.

B365 have Brewin as 4th fav for the 4 miler. Have I missed something?

I'm the opposite to you, and haven't backed him for the Arkle, so a bit worried he could end up there!

A fine big mare who has always looked a chaser in the making. She won six of her seven starts over hurdles for us and her only defeat came in the Champion Hurdle when she finished fourth. She has schooled well over fences and we’re looking forward to starting her off, either in a 2m2f mares' beginners' chase at Thurles on Thursday or over 2m4f at Gowran on Saturday. She has the potential to make a big impact.

Although he ran second in two Champion Hurdles, he never managed to win a Grade 1. He started off as a chaser at Navan this month and finished second. While he jumped well, he wasn’t as quick over the fences as the winner, Fakir D’Oudairies, a four-year-old to whom he was conceding 8lb. We think a step up in trip will suit him.
