Mares Novice Hurdle 2020

Only just got back on the forum and once again this race becomes my focus :highly_amused:

Gypsy Island is my biggest fancy as we stand and was very pleased to hear Ruby's thoughts.

Am taking the 7/1 Any Race with Hills though instead of the 8/1 thats currently available. Seems a no brainer for the sake of a point.

And you may be able to price boost the 7/1 as well.

Exactly! Think I'll be doing alot more with Hills this year. No cash out but they are having a real go in the Any Race markets and the boost is a very welcome bonus.

Cashout is worth loads more than a few points this side of Christmas.... I regretted backing some things with WH last year... it's a long old season!

Totally agree with Kev. This early out there would need to be a considerable price difference to make me want to back cash bets without the cashout facility

Yep cant argue with what you are saying lads... have decided to split my stakes on a few where I feel there is a sufficient difference in price, but I need to remind myself how grateful I was for the cashout option at various times last year.

I do think some of the Hills any race prices are really good though, that make them worth the risk.

I think they're good relative to the other bookies in the any race market.

Obviously depends on the horse as to the sliding scale of merit.

I can see me splitting stakes though to be honest, it's a good idea.

B365 seem to be offering up best odds this season in a lot of markets / horses so far. Probably due to them moving from 1/4 to 1/5 ew terms. Ideal when you have cashout opportunities

Decent support today for Lamarckise, into 16s from 25s with a number of firms, best price 20s with Skybet

Does this include BOG for antepost markets??

Interesting move at this stage and for one not with one of the big owners... s‘pose it’s ahead of a stable tour quote but nonetheless seems significant... can only be positive tho, any thoughts?

Still 16s with Bet365 for those interested

No TKM - no BOG on ante post

I think Sky did it as a special offer from memory when they went NRNB though.

Not the sexiest of races but would like to makr a case for lamarckise.

Like the debut of lamarckise at auteuil, big fan of the horse that finished just in front of her, (THRILLING) she was set to take her chance in the spring juvenile, where willie wouldnt be one for throwing pointless darts. But they decided to keep her for this year
Mullins has had her a long time now, and shes been sound throughout. so fully expecting with the raw material hes recieved he can make a nice horse out of her and give the connections of klassical dream another useful novice , this time for the mares novice hurdle at the current price of 33/1.

Another one ahead of the curve, well done.

GYPSY ISLAND form was well stamped today at Cheltenham when Irish runner Heaven Help Us won the 2M Maiden Hurdle from Tizzard and Henderson geldings that we’re fav and 2nd fav.

The trainer called Gypsy Island an aeroplane and he is well placed to know as Heaven Help Us has been beaten three times by Gypsy Island, 13&1/2 lengths, 17&1/2 lengths (Listed race) and 44 lengths (Grade 3).

This follows on from Daylight Katie (5 lengths 2nd to Gypsy Island in the Grade 3 at Punchestown Festival) winning her 15-runner maiden hurdle debut by 26 lengths this month.

I get the feeling Gypsy Island is a little bit special.

She will be going in a few multiples as the season progresses for sure.

You may well be right.

And the last top bumper mare to even go anywhere close to winning the mares nov, or any novice hurdle at chelt, was??

One for the trends boys.

All 4 winners have come from france, via pierre boullard to go to mullins.

All 4 have had a run over hurdles by now.

Which leaves.

Lamarckise
Estelle ma belle
Dolcita
