Mares Novice Hurdle 2020

Any news on Princess Vega? Not included in any stable tours despite winning on her debut. Did I miss any news on this?

Had high-class bumper form and she’s very, very good, but she’s currently way behind the others. She was just taking the odd lame step and we couldn’t find anything wrong on x-ray, then a splint popped out. It was ever so slight but you don’t take any risks with a mare like her. She’s absolutely fine now but won’t be ready until Christmas or the new year; she should be worth the wait and I hope she translates her class from bumpers to hurdles. She’s so good she could win a decent race on the Flat if we wanted to but I don’t intend going down that route.
 
Thanks JM shes the one im on for the Mares Novice so hoping no more setbacks and she can have a nice season and Chelt glory.

This one been on my radar since the champion bumper and the performance of Thyme Hill over the weekend that renewal is really proving to be a deep race....

Are there any horses they haven’t cut today? My theory is they cut plenty on Monday before you have a chance to use your free bet price boost combo

I'd love to know what percentage of people puts their free bets on Cheltenham ante post.

The overwhelming majority must use it on the Monday, the next biggest amount save it for Saturday and a small but select few waste it on Cheltenham like we do

Yeah you’re probably right, not sure what the reason is then for their regular Monday morning slash fest. Literally felt like every horse I fancied a free top up on was cut yesterday

Mullins' horses were cut yesterday based on the stable tour I reckon. Those tours can often provide valuable information to the punter but also give the bookie a reason to cut too. That's why I subscribe to the RP early in the season so I can make my move the night before. It's also why I post up the info on here so that others can share the small window of opportunity.

It's still frustrating that the bookies are cutting based on stable tours, especially as some trainers are overly enthusiastic with their comments about a large number of their horses.

Yep, sure that’s part of it and thanks for sharing but it’s a regular Monday thing although yesterday seemed very harsh and included other non Mullins horses such as Gypsy Island and Samcro for no apparent reason.

Yep, for me ,before this forum, they would always go on some rubbish race, but now I'd say 99% of my free bets go towards the festival in some way.

Concertista has run quite poorly there.....some of the mullin's novices just aren't firing for whatever reason, early days of course.
