Mares Novice Hurdle 2019

I don't think the 2m will be a problem for Relegate myself.

A Flemensfirth certainly won't be as effective over 2 miles and her style of running suggests she needs quite a bit further. I'd be surprised if she beats Barrington Court today and couldn't have her at all for Cheltenham.

I rather suspect that we haven't seen the Cheltenham winner yet this season.

Yeah, hopefully Salsaretta will be out soon ;)

Worked for limini!

Like Archie says, Cant have relegate for this.

She's ok I reckon. Needs to polish up her jumping a fair bit but that tenacity bodes well for the hill. Notwithstanding that Willie may well have others for this, she will have so much more experience and if they go too fast as they almost certainly will, she will be staying on when others are flagging.

A brave win but surely more likely to go up in trip in March.

Plenty of fillies/mares who might be the next Limini.

With that said, I wonder what price you can get for Willie to have the 1-2-3 in this race? May have to get that requested.

His potential contenders would be Relegate, Salsaretta, Chante Neige, Colreevy, Robin De Carlow, Sancta Simona, Pakora & Masons Daughter!!

I see Willie Mullins to train a 1-2-3 in 'any race' is 7/1, so race specific I'd hope would be some bit higher.

Relegate.

“That was good and I thought Ruby was very good on her. She didn't help him much over the last two. She was probably just going a bit too fast for her. I'd imagine from now on we'll go way out in trip with her,"

Of those you list, I would like Colreevy and Chante Niege as dangers. Both are unlikely to have had much experience this season and although I desperately hope we see both, it wouldn't surprise me too much if we didn't. They learnt the hard way last year by chucking in Salsaretta when she was clearly not ready. Unlike others, I like the fact that Relegate is running over 2 miles and looking like a stayer - I think that's ideal for this. As I said before, I do take on board the reputation of the other two mentioned but Relegate is at least up and running and getting Ruby out of bed to ride.

Chante neige and colreevy have already both ran over obstacles.

Rest of the quote. ...... relegate.

I'd be looking at two-and-a-half. To win a two mile hurdle was good.

“I think she'll jump a lot better when she goes out in trip.

“I'll just try and find the easiest race I can! I'd be looking for mares races or novice races, I doubt she'd come back here for the Grade 1. I'll just step her up the ladder quietly.

“The race in Cheltenham is two-mile one-furlong. I'd imagine I'll be trying to go out in trip with her all the time.”

Makes perfect sense. But still think she will come back in trip for this. Anyway, backed her any race and glad to have cover in this race in case Colreevy and Chante Niege don't come here. I hope they do mind because they both jump a lot better than Relegate!

He just said she won't.

I wouldn't say they chucked Salsaretta in for nothing, she has just gone the same route as Let's Dance, albeit different races, but starting out at the festival then going for the Mares' Novice the following season.

She needs to go up in trip too to try and find some improvement. She's no chance in this unless she's improved 2 stone some how.
They've loads more suited to this. Jared sullivan has a whole load.... of which id pick chante niege, but it's no gimme

Estelle ma belle etc... Plus then you've got the bumper horses. ...

Scooby, how many times has Willie said he won't do something and done it? probs a fair bit! Still, i agree Relegate is a no-no for the mares novice.

As for the list, COD, Robin De Carlow is no 2miler either so i'd scrap her too.

He's well aware what he's got at home. He won't be needing relegate for this.
