Totally agreed. I'd guess they'd bottle it and stay going to the mares.

You also have the issue of who rides her? I can't see Paul getting off State Man?

There will be an opportunity to have a double with state man on the day rolling on to lossie for the mares I'd imagine

State Man has seen off Vauban and Impaire Et Passe over the last 2 years to prove he's the top dog. I'm sure they would meet at some point to confirm the pecking order

If she's beaten by Stateman with any authority they'll surely goes Mares again knowing now for sure she gets the trip and would be as close to a gimme as you can get at Cheltenham.
