Had a quick look at Kerry National and taken a chance Real Steel 33/1 5 places gets in tomorrow. Low weight and Eric Mac ticks two boxes anyway.

Ignoring the top 3, I liked Toss Agains chances but I think it’ll come up softer then he likes. If they don’t get the divulge of rain expected I may back him tomorrow.

As it stands shortlist would be Gevrey, Stealthy Tom and Stumpstown.

Some decent prices in the place only market at the minute which I’m using for some Cheltenham roll ups.

I have done a few place doubles of Stealthy Tom and a few JP horses for Cheltenham

Same with Gevrey and 2 elliott picks for spring

Finally did a Stumpstown win double with Gala M for the Danny Mullins facto.

Small stakes.. wet the lip for some National Hunt

Reserve 3 ..... win-win

Same bet one year on

only a handful of qualifiers with the weight stat so covering those 10-10 and below

Busselton looks primed again

That was annoying to watch
having been on the second.

The Kerry national was the first handicap race I took a look at this year, didn’t spend long on it and only had a small stake. Was more of a “get back into it” than anything

I’m annoyed with myself that discount flooring very quickly! Saw his RPR’s last season and didn’t really adjust them give he had one first run and a fairly easy win at Cheltenham, then went right handed and didn’t like it, then finished 3rd in a fairly hot race behind corbetts cross. I didn’t been remind myself of that race

trainer tends to be hot at the start of the season

Running off 149

oh well…. Lessons learnt

are we getting into a situation where average handicapped horses will get done over, and with ease, by novices or graded horses that have had an excuse
