J.L.T Novices Chase 2019

Vinndication isn't coming here is he? Can get a fair whack of cash out on him, but my hesitation has paid off on Envoi Allen so loathe to willy nilly bin it off

Kim Bailey says he's too slow for the JLT and if he goes to Cheltenham at all it'll be the RSA.

However, trainers do change their minds.

Got 60s but can't see Real Steel winning this. Don't like him at all tbh.

I can't either. Happy to leave him alone after that performance. Plenty better than that, for sure.

That'll do for me. Real steel will get an OR of 155 I reckon . I will add a further 5lb for the ease of victory. He's 5 L clear of the JLT runners in my book. I wish that I had those 60's boopa.

Don’t see it
2 horse race imo

With Real Steel cut to 12/1 with PP/BF/Sly today, knowing there have been people interviewing connections at the yard, I've had another 1 pt e/w at 25/1 with the 1 firm still at that price.

If it ends up as the Mullins first string I think that'll be a good each way price, and they pushed Camila De Cotte back out, and left Voix Du Reve unchanged... so I'm taking that as a sign.

I see he's been debated in the ante-post thread (been working my way UP not DOWN) ...

Tis is purely a play to try and get ahead of the market for this race - as I dhave no strong opinion on the front 2 being better than each other, and the Irish horses record is worth taking note of even if it's not particuarly relevant this year....

Another example of BFSB/PP being ahead of the curve.

Well done on the bigger prices chaps, boopa and delsie I think

Rather have Reel Steel than either of the market leaders myself. Defi is dodgy and LIT is always likely to throw one in.

At the current prices?

I think your 33/1 is clouding your judgement a little? Teeny tiny bit?

OK. Lets have a go at the field - I think a lot of low priced ones dont run here ?

DDS - 80% chance runs here
LiT - runs here
TOTG - RSA
GF - Arkle
Delta Work - RSA
Real Steel - Here
VinnD - RSA if at all
CC - 4 miler
Kalsh - Arkle (not that it matters)

I agree with the above list mayo ,so who will line up?
Defi Du Sieul
Lostintranslation
Real Steel
Mengli Khan ?
Glen Forsa ?
Paloma Blue ?
Kaiser Black ?

Think MK will be in Close if he gets in which he should on shown form

Ben Paulings horse probably a good ew shout

Was said a while back by a couple. The whole market was, for some time, priced up around a lot of runners that have other targets. Was a lot, and probably still is, a fair bit of value around for the race.

My judgement? Clouded? How dare you Kev!
Seriously, I am happy with my position but I genuinely feel he's still value even now. Ruby on board probably - genuine 2 and a half miler. Against a 2 miler who's not good enough for The Arkle (Defi) and a 3 miler running at the wrong trip (LIT)
I am on LIT (any race) at 20's but I only did it because he was shorter prices for this and the RSA. He could outstay this lot I suppose but a Mullins horse in the JLT? What's not to like? He absolutely pissed away after the last yesterday over 2m 2f and even if it happened that Paul rode him I'd still be happy.
I just cannot have DDS at all and I suspect that the dangers will come from further down the betting if at all. This will be a small field.

I have a sneaky regard for Drovers Lane. Backed it both here and for the RSA but hoping it goes JLT. These are the only 2 entries it has.

CD Winner.

This might be a slightly silly question but if I backed a horse ante post 1/4 odds 3 places but only 7 turn up would they still pay out for 3 places?
